Kevin who has been out injured with a snapped tendon in his hand could land a shot at the world title due to the unfortunate circumstances of his fellow stablemates nick cook"s loss to roman martinez.. kevin will honour his word to steven foster and will fight him if successful in landing the world title. Kevins surgery to his hand has been a complete success, this was a long standing injury that has plagued the hard hitting dagenham fighter for many years.

"kevin will honour his word to steven foster" - otherwise known as sorting out an easy defence before he has won the title!

Mitchell v Martinez is a good fight. I say make it.

Mitchell should have a warm up fight, an 8 rounder to get the ring rust out, then fight Fostwer Jnr for the british title, then maybe Burns or for the Euro title then fight for the world late next year. There is no rush for Kevin he is only 23.

think kev would want martinez asap. rumors are that he is looking great in the gym so he might as well not hang about. I feel he has martinez"s number. he has had 20 plus fights so he will need to push on. get the wbo belt back to britain then he can fight the burns"s and foster"s. this would give all these guys the exposure they need and make them some decent money. at 24 kev is more than ready to make a charge of becoming world champ. I feel the boxing media/ writers need to back the kid, and so does Frank Warren, not a single pic of him on the sports network website.

Definitely needs a fight before the world title IMO, hes been out for a long time and he didnt look brilliant against Estrada...Looking forward to seeing him back though. Mitchell v Johanssen was one of the Brit fights of the year

abotu 14 people a year go on the Frank Warren website.

No doubt Kevin is ready for Martinez but not after a 9 month lay off, look at what happened to Enzo.

Im a big mitchell fan dont want him to rush things. Haye and Froch are 28 and 31 so Mitchell has plenty of time.

Ricky Burns and Stephen Foster are not worthy world title challengers. If Kevin defends a world title agaisnt them i would be pissed off.

He should take a warm up and then take his chance, if he fails he can come again. Haye, a heavyweight and Froch are not good roles models when a smaller guy like Mitchell planing out the timescale of his career.

im going to have to disagree, mitchell has had plenty of fights and the lay off he has had would have refreshed him. I feel he is a class act and must seize the chance off taking martinez. as long as there are no probs in sparring then he should take the fight, like I said the rumors are he is as sharp as ever in the gym

Mitchell is the best young fighter in the country for me.... He's brilliant to watch, can punch and has proven his chin and his nuts are in order. I think he would poundthe granny out of Martinez. I also think he would be too good for Foster and co.... and i'm pretty much a fan of all the big names at the weight Burns, Foster etc....

Mitchell is no world beater, but neither was Arturo Gatti or Nigel Benn. He needs to make his move, if he does win that title and SN for once market him correctly he could fill the void post Hatton.

any world title aspirations or evenany ideas of achieving european credenrials should be written off,i have a felling he'll loose his 0 this year, either by an embarassing schooling by a mediocre opponent or by TKO,

come on faisal, mitchell has proven he can come through the other end ie johanneson. you have to believe me when I say this kid is as tough as they come. he has pride power and the will to get to the top. to say he will get tko is a big call, surely you see johannesons bombs, ie proving he has a chin. my call is he will be guided like hatton and calzaghe and will grow into a great champ

He's got decent skills at Euro level and a good chin but I don't see anything that will keep him in world class.
