No, not the boxer. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/nov/16/amirkhan-boxing Thanks go to 'PUNCHDRUNK' from the general forum for finding this 'un. If a thread has already been created (here in the Brit forum) discussing this article, then...oops. For people who are too lazy to read the whole thing, here is an extract. Roach discussing technique:
A few of us said this from the start. Khan should become a more defensive boxer who relies heavily on his jab. We all mentioned Emmanuel Steward as an ideal trainer, but obviously Roach knows what he's doing.
thanks, good article Khan maybe slowly learning.... now if he can really show some boxing skills he might win back some of the true boxing fans. I like this from Khan: "There's no slacking off, knocking someone out, and thinking you're going to become a world champion in the next fight."
Great photos Mr Grendal:good Cheers s always for keeping us updated on Craigs progress, which leads me to say... whats the latest news? Sorry for being such a nosy swine, but its what I am, a nosy swine
& Callums father is going to become the best known fighter of them all in the years to come, trust me:deal
Dunky, Craig is fighting on Friday, against Ivan Stovell at the Morongo. Not what he wanted, as you know but I hope he takes it seriously as Stovell is a potentially dangerous opponent who had Parison down early in their bout. Craig is in good shape though and has been running with Manny and Amir in the morning and sparring Roman Karmazin, among others. He tells me that Amir has been sparring really well against Manny and has fitted in well at the Wildcard. As you can see from the article at the start of this post Freddy concurs. Will Manny beat Oscar? A tall order but the circus must go on.....!
