Relentless pressure......and he is only getting more comfortable with his weight now.

Maybe Kev Mitchell is filling out at the weigh too.....and if he is he is gonna have to go some.


Kev looked like a boy against Kats just in size and i would love to see the staredown with Burns regarding size.

I remember the way people saw a Kev win vs Kats.....yet with Burns it seemed like the same % gave him no chance.

Anyways, thats old news.......

Another thing, how does Kev M handle Glasgow ?

I personally think that VVarren threw him in at the deep end with Kats.......it was a fairytale fight for him (Upton etc) and was too much mentally (old posts explain yadayada)

Anyways, which part of him and his game outdoes Ricky Burns ?

I think based on the fact Burns actually beat Katsidis you have to make him a favourite. Plus he's actually fought more than once in 18 months and isn't a complete headcase.

 

its no secret im a mitchell fan i ven run a competiton on here when hr fought katsidis and put up a pair of tickets to the fight as a prize but not even i could fancy kev against burns , he was great against murrary yet we now know murrry wasnt 100% and we also know kev is his own worst enemy he could find trouble in an empty room i mean he gets caught up in his brother gettin nicked for growin weed and eneded up gettin nicked hmself then not learnin his lesson from this he then gets nicked again this time for carrying a knife. boxing at the top level requires 100% dedication and concentration and no one can be sure if kev will be commited enough to put the work in to beat burns and even if he does put the work in burns has developed and imprved so much as afighter in the past 18 months he is probably a level above kevin anyway

I think ultimately Burns would be able pull off what Murray tried to do ie rough Kevin up and push him backwards in a far more convincing manner, the jab is the key issue for Mitchell and i cant see him getting out of the was of it, if Mitchell is pushed backwards he will be forced to try and counter, he was successful against Murray because he had the advantage in skill and speed, Burns is not only more clever than Murray, he has the skill to match Mitchell and the brawn and intelligence to bully Mitchell.

 

Mitchell would decision Burns.

id back burns on the minute hes on the up while mitchell did well to come back from the katsides debacle, burns just doest seem to do anything wrong at the minute

I don't see how Mitchell beats him on the form Burns was against Katsidis.

 

If Katsidis can't stop Burns then Mitchell certainly wont, and Mitchell is not outboxing Burns in a million years.

I'd favour Mitchell if he turns up in shape and in the mood.
But then again I don't want to ever underestimate burns again so il say burns UD. Defo not a stoppage tho or even a hiding. Just a boxing school from burns like he did with kats

 

No I didnt you little *****. I favoured Murray to beat Mitchell but then I also PM'd you two weeks before the fight saying how Murray had been on the **** and was smashed whilst over in Germany, and that he was throwing it away.
