Good enough for a fighter of his calibre.

Well should those investments not be making him money.

You are not going to go into the housing market and not make any income from those properties. Does FW pay the mortgages on those propertys if Mitchell has no income from them. And you dont venture in to this line of work not having back up money, thats just silly.

If Kev has better options on the table than taking this fight, I'd like to hear them. Saying he needs to make more is not good enough. He can turn his career and finances around if he wins this fight.
Glen Johnson said he couldn't believe he took the Mack fight because the money was so low but he knew it was a potential way back.

yeh but it was in a Leisure Centre that held 500 people not Wembley Arena that holds 14,000 and chief support to a world title fight.

Whats the biggest gate Mitchell has drawn WITHOUT the help of at least 3/4 Warren fighters to help ? Murray was draewing in decent crowds against unknown fighters with the most incapable promoter in history

None of the fighters on the Upton Park bill are big ticket sellers apart from Gavin. 90% of the crowd were there to watch Kevin. I was there.

Murray has never had more than 2000.

Once again lad you're talking pure horse****.

Danny Williams vs Derek Chisora is a fight that could have sold out a decent smaller venue on it's own.
The 3 olympians are decent ticket sellers (Gavin especially so)
The Walsh brothers are decent sellers combined
Ricky burns isn't the worst ticket seller
You'd have had neutrals that would have gone and watched due to the sheer nature it was a good 'event' for a boxing fan
And there's no way on this earth you can say there was a 'handful' of Aussies there. You can talk about you being there and me not being there all you want, but that doesn't cut it at all. You can see more than 'a handful' on the TV highlights alone and despite how you'd like to believe you know it all i'm not convinced that you went to each pocket of fans verifying their origins and support

Most of them were West Ham football fans?
Do you think they will go to watch him again after his performance against Katsidis?

He probably is worth more in this fight than what he is getting pride. But he should probably just not let his pride get in the way, take it on the chin, win the fight and take it form there, given the Katsidis debacle.

But, when was the last time there'd been live boxing at Upton Park football stadium, involving an unbeaten fighter who was already a well known West Ham fan?

How many tickets would Martin Conception sell if he was on the verge of a world title and the fight was held at The Walkers Stadium, Leicester or Carl Johanesson if the fight was at Elland Road, Leeds? There'd be thousands of people who'd just go because of the event, not just because they were big fans of the fighter in question.

The Kaiser Chiefs sold out Elland Road a few years back. Why? They're from Leeds, well known Leeds Utd fans and Elland Road hadn't had any live music events for about 20 years. I think the same sort of thing applies to the Mitchell - Upton Park fight.
