Kevin Mitchell Vs Breddis Prescott

Its at lightweight WBO title eliminator ....

For me this is a step up in class for Mitchell .... and I see Prescott finishing late .. Prescotts a decent boxer tall and rangy and we know he can punch !... he fought arguably his best fight in defeat against Vasquez last time up and was out boxing Toledo in his previous fight ....

Mitchell as we know loves a good war and that could be his downfall he may get dragged into the trenches ... if he boxes smart hes got every chance but he needs to keep his defence tight ! ....

I just think personally Prescott will catch him late as they tire down the home stretch ... but a crackign fight to look forward too ...

 

This is a very interesting fight. Mitchell should not go to light welter.

 

there must be a reason why warren would put Mitchell in with him. I think Mitchells true class will show.

 

Mitchell is class but this is a high risk strategy ! ..... Warren took the risk with Khan which for that split second back fired ....

It could be a ******* ... looking forward to this one ...

 

It is a gigantic step up for Mitchell who is only used to fighting shot fighters and Eurobums so I am still a little worried that Prescott may have too much for him. Mitchell has never looked a world class talent.

 

I'm glad to hear Jimmy Tibbs is working on Mitchell's Defence. He will need it early on that's for sure.

Yeah he was in the conrer. Johhny Eames was Bailey's trainer for that fight. Tibbs is very highly rated by most trainers in this country. Seems a good guy..close to his fighters and produces good attacking fighters. Mitchell said he's been teaching to take shots on the gloves. I thought most trainers taught this :think

 

This fight is more exciting than the main fight.

 

its simple mitchell wins and he is khans mandatory as everyone knows khan is leaving warren so warren is pre empting this by making mitchell a name in the publics eyes as he will be marketed as the man who beat the man who beat the man(khan)

 

Mitchell is probably my favorite domestic fighter, always liked his style but it's been frustrating watching his career go nowhere in the last 18 months. I hope he does the business and steps up to world level on Saturday.

 

It's a coming of age fight. I see Mitchell winning and winning in style. Maybe i'm just hoping but i think if he stays out of trouble in first 4 rounds he will get to Prescott. If he goes to war he could end up being busted up and stopped. Hope he boxes rather then fights in this one.

Prescott bangs early and his shots are crisp and sting but as fights go on he starts to become ragged. Head movement and lateral movement is needed and he once he gets close he will find that Prescott has no inside game what so ever.

 

I think he is getting splattered

This is Warren casting him adrift. Imagibe getting a puncher of sorts at 135lbs for a person who has had 27 fights at Superfeather. Prescott 25/1 to do an Amir Khan Encore. Nor as sexy as the 67/1 I got last time but beggars cant be choosers
