Kevin Mitchell vs. Felix Lora RBR

Mitchell lands his jab, swoops down under Lora's own wide jab, and lands his own jab again. Now they stand in close in the middle of the ring and start brawling, trading hooks! Mitchell's hands are faster and so he gets the better share! They're tied up before Lora can make much of an argument for himself. Mitchell is getting very bold now, ducking in and jabbing the body with his face unprotected and then tiptoeing back outside to start again. 1-2 to the belly by Mitchell. Lora waves his left out, trying to set up a huge can-opener right hand. Mitchell trots in reverse to the ropes and leans off to one side, making Lora miss. Mitchell is landing the jab and the crowd is hollering for a KO. Big right hand by an obliging Mitchell!! Lora is hurt and dives in to hold Mitchell around the waist! 30 seconds left. They stand a few feet apart. Lora bounces up on his toes and circles left. They trade hooks!! Big hook by Mitchell. Looping right by Lora.

Richie Davis immediately raises Mitchell's hand, for the Referee's Decision win.

 

Davis scored it officially 98-92 for Mitchell. (what about the knockdown??? Shouldn't it be either 97-92 or 98-91???)

 

Must be. Or taking his opponent lightly, or preparing for a different look in Osmond. :conf

I've thought this since they first ever starting discussing that match-up.

It isn't that Mitchell doesn't have the skill to outbox Rios, it's that he doesn't have the toughness to survive the distance while doing so.

Rios loses a few rounds, but ultimately gets the KO.

 

Honestly I don't think Mitchell beats Burns.
