Beat me to it :-( McAllister is a reasonable, safe-ish opponent for Mitchell to warm up on. Would be a good chance to assess how good he actually is, based upon how he compares with the job that Murray did. He's lost in an interim world title fight and had over 30 pro contests, but it's fair to say that nobody can accurately say how good he is. Better than the bums he's beat so far (save Johanneson) but not as good as Katsidis. Pretty big void there
:goodA blackhole yep! and Mcallister could get a decent paycheck, more exposure even catch Mitchell on a low and box well and get a decision,
Ya good fight to get Mitchell back in the mix. Has anybody know what his plans are, I thought I saw a post some place saying he'd gone off the rails a bit since he lost, anybody know if thats true? I hope not.
All rumours mate... as i posted before saw him a few weeks back said " back in light training after his eye op,said hope 2 b out in dec.... physique wise looking very well............
i think mcallister would be able to get a ud. mitchell doesn't fight like murray he boxes more and i think he would get frustrated and make silly mistakes.
I actually think McCallister could be a very bad matchup for Mitchell. I mean, who has he fought who can give him movement/angles, combination punching in return? Everyone Mitchell has looked impressive against have been against sub-standard come forward fighters. I'm not saying McCallister is 'above' Mitchell (going by their levels of opposition I think its clear to see they're not far apart though) but I definitely think he'd give him problems, especially as Mitchell is not a come-forward maurauding type of guy himself like Murray. Will Mitchell be able to time his counters against a tricky foe like McCallister? I'd favour him to, but so much fot his thread is 'Mitchell within six', 'Mitchell wil smash him'. I'm not saying thats not true, but why?
