Kevin Mitchell vs Michael Katsidis

Katsidis edging a bloody battle. People are getting far too hyped since kev beat Prescott.

Katsidis' punches are crisper, cleaner and he knows when to throw them better. Prescotts are wild. He throws punches like a child does when he's got a strop on. Katsidis can box too.
Think this is a bit too much for Mitchell

 

I would be suprised if Mitchell will get over matched unless Khan leaves his current promoter...

I thought that everything was looking like Mitchell might get traded in...Katsidis and Prescott are poles apart... Katsidis is much better.

I hope Mitchell wins a title... I was impressed with his focus and disipline for the full contest..

 

This fight would be insane...neither fighter likes to take a backwards step

 

katsidis is a different kettle of fish to prescott,he would be to much for mitchell

This. Although I can see it being a bit more of a boxing match in the early stages than people anticipate. Thought both showed excellent skills in their most recent fights.

It will develop into a war though, both fighters like it too much :yep

Katsidis will get a close PTS win or possibly stop him late I reckon, Mitchell has a good chance in this though :bbb

 

We have to remember for all his limitations Katsidis is improving and always trying to develop. He's a beast at lightweight and brings heat that Mitchell will never of handled before. He will stalk and get to you eventually get to land his hurtful hooks and for all Kevin's good boxing the other night i can't see him keeping Katisidis off and he'd be dragged into a trench war.

I think Kevin could do with a good learning fight before stepping to this level and also growing into the weight a bit more.

 

Who knows. If Mitchell can mix up his gameplan, box some rounds and trade in others, then he could edge a decision on either side of the Atlantic.

Personally I feel Katsidis would have the upper hand in the exchanges and Mitchell may have to get on his bike a la Escebedo; which didn't work out well for Escebedo, plus Mitchell is nowhere near as fluid.

Would rather see Mitchell vs Murray first=Winner vs Katsidis.

Fair play to Mitchell though, although Prescott is not all that he was just the kinda' opponent required to show that Mitchell CAN stay disciplined for 12 rounds CAN campaign against a genuine 135lber (only one bigger at the moment and that's Freakish Funeka) and proves he can probably hack it on the World stage (prescott is C-Level, but Mitchell showed good skills and class in the fight)

Katsidis has combination of power and accuracy unlike Prescott. Tough fight for Mitchell and i think he will need a few more fights at lightweight.

What's happened with Yuri Romanov? How about a fight with him ?

Ii love kevin mitchell but i reckon katsidis will win by points. He is too much for little kev. Prescott was wild and ineffective ame play to play to prescotts flaws, hence mitchell won by sticking to a game plan that played to prescotts flaws. Katsidis is a solid consumate pro that will really want to war and hurt mitchell. This would be an awesome fight tho...
