Kevin Mitchell vs Ricky Burns in July ???

Burns is one of the most overrated fighters on esb, he will lose.

 

Mitchell better hope this fight doesn't happen, because he'd be made to look ****ing stupid for ten rounds before being stopped by either the ref or the corner.

It's not a fight I'd want for him if I was involved with him.

He's the inferior technician and doesn't punch nearly hard enough to knock Ricky out.... and is by a fair margin the smaller man to boot.

Agree with all of this , Burns has surpassed Kevin so much in the last 12 months that Mitchell may well be stopped

What other fights are there for Mitchell that are attractive as this BTW ??

 

None - but I think Kevin needs a proper 'bridge the gap' fight or two before fighting Burns.

Since he beat Johanneson it's been one step forward and two back at every juncture - he's not without blame here, with his well known problems, but it's been decent opponent followed by bus driver, then a year long break after a KO loss, then a big win, then another break, a bus driver and now talk of Burns.

His career has stalled more times than a bomb damaged Triumph Herald.

 

Burns is not going to fight anybosy better than Kevin Mitchell.

Yes but this was all with youth and time on his side , the shelf life of a fighter who lives the clean life at Kevin's weight is more often than not late 20's , he has no time left , he has to take bigger fights , the apprenticeship is served !!!
