Kevin Mitchell vs Ricky Burns in July ???

I don't think so. Burns has already beaten Martinez, Katsidis and a very very good Moses. Like I said I really hope it does happen as Mitchell is my favourite fighter and I think he'd beat Burns. But Mitchell definitely needs the fight more than Ricky does

 

well i dont agree with what your saying about a possible fight between these two because id love to see it but at least your not like everyone on here dismissing the calibre of opponents Burns faced.

Ricky told me yesturday his next fight is begining of Aug in Glasgow.
Ive been told Kevin refused the fight at least once,it doesnt really matter there are bigger name than Kevin out there and thats who Ricky wants:good

Burns is one of the top 2-3 Lightweights in the world. Mitchell is in the top 15 in everybodys book and top 10 with some....not myself.

Katsidis was a good fight. Moses was a good fight. Mitchell will also be a good fight. Plus its a a quality domestic fight between the number 1 and number 2 in the country.

Its unlikley that Rickys next opponent will be ranked higher than Kevin.

Also Kevin is Rickys mandatory.

 

I dont think Kevins next but if he his he will get our full attention,ive had a gameplan for Kevin since he pulled out there fight 3 years ago at SFW nothings changed with kevin styles

 

So my source was wrong by a couple of weeks. As far as I'm aware, Mitchell as refused the fight once over money, and Ricky has refused the fight once over money (when Mitchell was asking for 50/50). Is that right Bill?

As I've said in the thread, Mitchell needs the fight more. Ricky has a bright future, if he stays away from Kevin that is (and Rios. Don't go near Rios). I think stylistically, Ricky beats every other Lightweight

 

Kevin is probably being offerd more money to fight Gavin Rees on the Froch undercard which won't make sense to him.

 

I can assure you Ricky has never refused the fight with Kevin,i dont really care what each fighter gets but clearly the champion deserves more than the challenger
