really? i know he came up short at european level, but he still gave a good fighter in burns a pretty bad beatdown, and i'd back burns to beat foster personally.

foster would have a chance due to his power, but i think Johannesons a comfortably better boxer than foster personally

I think Johanssons strengths are that he is a very impressive short puncher. Against the likes of Burns, Fehintola and to a degree Gomez it allowed him to make an impression. Fosters up close work is very good and when Carl faced with an opponent who could match him on the inside in Leva Kevakawhatever his name was he quickly fell apart. Gomez could of beaten Johansson and if he beats Burns I'm pretty certain Johansson will be high on the agenda. :thumbsup

I would certainly be in attendance for that one.

I agree with you Jeff, that his short punching is exceptional. Someone who can box well from the outside or take his short shots in close would stand him on his head pretty quick.

Was gutted that he lost to Mitchell, it was all there for him on a couple of occasions.

I've been told that the power he can generate at close range is absolutly freakish!!

well, Carl is US trained so a bit more well-rounded than most domestic fighters. His short hooks are devestating as well, Mitchell did well to come through them.

Winner of Burns-Gomez vs. winner of Foster-Mitchel??? Would love to see Mitchell vs. Gomez, hopefully Michael can make the weight!
