Burns is a featherfisted fighter but Mitchell took a lot of clean heavy punches in this fight. That left hook was just perfect. Massive punch right on the chin. Even if you don't have much power, such clean shot may cause a lot of damage. Mitchell did get up but never really recovered.
Another thing is that Burns punches harder after he moved up to lightweight division.

Mitchell has a glass chin but I wouldn't call it the worst chin in boxing.

Burns looked like the much bigger man and puncher tonight, i don't think Kevin Mitchell has the worst chin ever but i do think he is pretty **** though and is too easy to hit.

There are always tomato cans and stiffs who people can't point to who have worse chins than the top fighters.

But the bottom line is that guys like Khan or Harrison - when compared to their PEERS - have abysmal punch resistance.

Dumb excuse. He has had 2 title opportunities And the bad preparation excuse is wearing thin. He is not elite, end of story...

its pretty common knowledge that when mitchell is well prepared his chin transforms into 100% granite.

Khan, Hatton, Harrison, Haye, and Maccaranelli have as bad of Chins as I have ever seen. All British.

You guys act like the KDs were the only time Mitchell was hurt. He was stopped in his tracks a handful of times by the pillows of Rickster. :hi:

Khan is of 100% ****stani heritage, Britain can't be blamed for his chin.

Audley also may have been born there but does not have any British blood.

Haye has some British blood and incidentally has the best chin out of the lot.
