Hi, this is my first post so go easy! :p

Just wondering what people's opinions on Mitchell are.

IMO he's the best british prospect out there at the moment (certainly better then the overhyped Khan IMO) and I think he derserves a lot more publicity than Khan has been getting.

Can anyone see him going all the way and how do you think he'd fair should he face Alex Arthur, surely that fight is a possibility in the near future?

I'm not sold on Mitchell like I am on Haye and Froch. I'd love to see Mitchell-Khan, I think pretty sound technique vs great handspeen would make for a *******.

I think Mitchell was ****. Totally overhyped. Him and his people WISH he had power like Nigel Benn. All the fights I saw of him he looked messy and awful...

...then he got with Paul Cook and a new Kevin Mitchell was born.

His defence has come on leaps and bounds, he can actually cut off the ring now, he is quite devastating to the body, works a good jab, fires off in nice combos and is generally a much more polished well rounded fighter.

Truth be told, Mitchell chasing Khan down has you thinking he could score the ko.

Generally I am not sold that he can make it to the top. He still needs to step up. He hasn't really fought anyone that you would want to talk about.

I like the kid but do not know how far he can go. I would say he is on pa with Khan although i am not sure how big he is apart from being a super feather so maybe Khan would be too big. He has a long way to go before fighing Arthur and major belts.

I wish him more success than most other fighters.

agree with achiles mitchell has definetly improved. Getting plenty of rounds in with solid imports will do him the world of good.Like to see him fight one of his british rivals though

He needs a meaningful fight pretty soon - and needs to be tested a bit more.
    Like his style though.

iI think if mitchell doesnt get a hard and testing fight he will go down the road of steve foster jr. foster seemed a good prospect but then seemed to be put into too many meaningful fights and seemed to slip away and never really fullfil his potential. hope it doesnt happen but only time will tell everyone knows what warrens like.

Mitchell is my favourite British fighter at the moment. Because he hits to hard and he really tries to hurt his opponents. He has improved definately, which is due to a new trainer as someone has mentioned.

I am not sure how he would fare at a higher level, because I dont know whether he would go back to his old bad habits when in a real fight. He used to leave himself to open and get in wars he did not need to be in. I do not see him ever being the number one world champion but he might get a world belt other than this inter-continental bull.

I've seen him him fight live on a few cards and i like the bloke and as long as he gets in the ring i'll be supporting him every time, same with his little brother Vinny.
I really hope he does well and if everything goes to plan, i'll get to see him fight again one day in a big title fight.

Typical 'East End' fighter. Similar in style and quality as Nicky Cook, Graham Earl,Martin Power,Darren Barker,Ross Minter.

    Probably trains in Teneriffe!!

Just like the above clones,a good fighter, but nothing special
