The way I see it he could well become Frank Warren's saviour after the end of the Khan hype brigade.

I hate Warren but really like Mitchell and will be interesting to see how much Mitchell's profile will now be built up especaially after Arthur's defeat.

    Thoughts?

Well he'd beat Khan in a few rounds thats for sure. I also picked him against Arthur which doesn't look quite so ludicrous now.

Admist all the excitement over Khan losing, I'm very disappointed in Arthur for losing the Title in what seems to be a very disappointing manner...

I really like Kevin Mitchell and have done for a few years. An exciting fighter and a seemingly nice to boot...I remember calling for him to fight Khan a few years ago...though I didn't think he had a serious chance of beating Khan back then, it was more about the British interest.

I want Mitchell - Cook now. Should be good.

    Will never happen.

They are in the same stable and are good mates. Mitchell will have to go for the IBF Title now.

Mitchell > Cook by the way no doubt in my mind.

Nah, I don't think so. I think Cook is a more rounded operator than Mitchell at the moment. He's more tactically aware as we saw tonight, and defensively sound.

Mitchell is still rash and hot headed at times, and the defence isn't there.

    Cook would outbox him.

Cook really impressed me tonight. Short of Tyson or Leonard style performances, thats how I like to see boxing done. Intelligent use of tactics, good but not excessive movement and alternating offense and defence to keep his opponent guessing.

Ah really? Got to say I'm with TFFP on this one: I like Mitchell, he's proper exciting but a little rash in the ring...

A shame it probably won't happen though all the same.

I think cook boxed brilliant even when he got hurt, he never panicked and stuck to his task and deserved to win.

Wtf was arthur coming out with between rounds :huh

I said a while back that Kevin Mitchell would beat Khan despite not having Khan's boxing skills. Mitchell has power, heart and a decent chin. That's good enough to operate at British/European level but he will have to improve his defence to step up to World class. Good bloke too.

No Mitchell has a solid chin, what however he lacks at the moment is defence, if he can sort that out he could go far, offensively he is very good
