Kevin Vladimirovich Johnson vs. Vitaly Viktorovich Minakov & Solomon Adebayo vs. Sergey Kuzmin RBR

Kuzmin finally started tagging Adebayo with some fat guard-rattling left hooks and right hands on repeat in R3. First really clear round, and even that was stop-and-go with any momentum stalled by sloppy clinches just when the powder keg looked ready to ignite.

 

Kuzmin's boobs jiggling every time he so much as shuffles his foot, let alone takes a full step. Adebayo the much fitter man but doesn't appear to have much in the way of ring IQ.

 

Kuzmin gunning for the KO now, selling out & falling in with the 1-2. Adebayo is able to catch him into a clinch, and then dances around with his arms down throwing pot shot jabs.

Two clear rounds in a row for Kuzmin, probably 40-36 on the judges' cards. (the first two were nothing rounds)

 

This is dreadful. It's just Kuzmin throwing feints and 1-1-2s lunging in, and then getting tied up after his shots get swatted away on Adebayo's palms. Over & over & over...

 

Alright, last round, let's see if they go all out.

 

Adebayo being as negative as he can and Kuzmin proving a very ineffective aggressor. The at-first somewhat receptive crowd is now outright hostile - booing, jeering, and whistling as they realize there are to be none of the HW fireworks they were hoping for.

 

Under ten seconds left, Kuzmin throws some wild right hands and hooks, mostly blocked. He clips the chin of Adebayo, putting him down and it's waved immediately to roars from the crowd.

Literally got him at the last possible moment, it almost seems like it was scripted.

 

Golden trophy for that, really?

Somebody in the chat says it's a very nice cup and looks to be worth at least 700 rubles (like six bucks USD )

 

Alexey Vasilievich Papin vs. Gregory Hardy Jr., 6 rounds @ cruiserweight

 

Greg Hardy is a dabbler in many combat sports - his record is 7-5 in MMA, 0-1 in bareknuckle, 5-3 in Team Combat League, and 2-0 so far in pro boxing.

(stopped a total of six times across every discipline)

I think he's going to get absolutely obliterated here, in short order.

Papin got dropped in the first, never would've predicted that. Commentators are losing their minds, too. Tubby six foot five Floridian got hands, apparently!

10-8 Hardy

 

Replay shows it was kind of rough, he bopped him in the face with a right hand as they were separating from a clinch with Hardy's back against the ropes. He sort of held the back of Papin's head with his left to land the shot. Easily could have been ruled a foul.

Bottom line though Papin was surprised and hurt by it.

 

Obviously not cruiserweight - guess Papin has made the jump up to HW.

Papin is handling a hundred pound weight deficit ...poorly, to say the least.

Comeback of the year contender and knockout of the year contender. Papin - after getting mauled for the better part of two rounds and change - just started hammering the big man with hooks and looping rights, backing him across the ring and finally battering him down, his knee buckling under his massive weight before he topples.
