This guy is really average. It’s too bad he won’t fight Gervonta because they are butt buddies.. how long will it take for him to get exposed ?
Gustavo Lemos will walk right through him tomorrow and stop him late. So the exposure is nigh, sadly due to that, I doubt this thread will gain the traction it deserves.
If it goes the distance, it doesn't matter how well Lemos performs, they'll most likely rob him. So I don't think anyone should bet their houses on Lemos, although I said he'd beat Hitchins too, and he did so in dominant fashion, easily winning what should've been a 117-111 or 118-110 decision. But as so often is the case with Argentine fighters, who are deemed expendable here in the US, due to the lack of a built in fanbase like the Mexicans and Puerto Ricans, they're one of the most consistently robbed nationalities when they're the away fighter. So Lemos clearly learned from his experience last time, he will be given no favors, and the deck will be stacked against him, so rightfully he made no attempt to make weight, and is coming in with his own deck stacking measures. So that will definitely give him a slight advantage here, considering he's spent much of his career at 140, and he knew he was being brought in as a drained fighter, to fight a guy who could easily make 140 or 147. Anyway, he's a power puncher, easily the hardest puncher Davis has fought to date, Davis clearly doesn't like or react well to being tagged clean, which is unfortunate for him, because Lemos is going to tag him clean and repeatedly. People are deluding themselves if they think Davis is slicker and harder to touch than Hitchins, who beat Bauza, Zepeda and Alamo and made it look easy, even beating Alamo more comprehensively than Liam Paro. Yet Lemos had his way with him. The secret being, the deceptively hard time awkward rhythm and hard to time upper body and head movement, combined with immaculate ability to cut off the ring and constantly be in position to throw and land his punches, anywhere he can land them. So yeah, Arum hypocritically protested hard about the Hitchins robbery, then got Lemos under contract, smiling like a Cheshire cat, knowing damned well he's planning to do the exact same thing to him. But Lemos clearly has other plans!
I said this in March............he's had one fight since then with the next one being tonight. He's one of the main prospects I watch, he's not ready for the real killers. I think he believes he is, but he ain't. And his team actually knows that.
Keyshawn is overlooking Lemos talking about Tank and Lomachenko i dont like that. Lemos blew the weight, he's a hard punching pressure fighter and Keyshawn doesn't consistently exchange in the pocket he clinches quite a bit, his gas tank was getting tested against Madueno, lemos might just run him over. This has all the ingredients for an upset, it's a great fight
