Does Eddie have the balls to stick Khal in with Rungvisai? Rungvisai fights for small change and this could be a massive event here in the UK. Career defining fight for Khal who at 28 is almost on the turn. Thoughts?
It wouldn’t be a massive event. Nobody apart from die hard boxing fans know who he is. If your Eddie look at it like this Not going to be on PPV Not going to sell out a decent sized arena Probably going to lose your world title Why on earth would he put him in there? If I was a promoter it would be the last thing I done.
I think it does PPV as a co main event. Rungvisai wont cost much and there are no other money fights for Khal. If anyone can spin it it's matchroom.
AJ Parker wouldn’t sell more because this is on it, Belle Haye wouldn’t either. I don’t see what event this could feature as a co main PPV to be honest. There’s a reason why the superflys are all fighting on same event all the time because stand alone they aren’t worth much.

Yafai gets annihilated. Rungvisai is one of the best fighters in the world, you simply have to have him in the top 5 P4P based on his last 3 bouts. The only person I can see beating him is Inoue but he's moved up and that fight would be 50/50.
I agree he stands little chance but I would love to see him in that mix. Surely better than fighting Charlie Edwards. WBSS superfly would be a cracker.
It was $250k which you're right was a huge improvement. First fight against Gonzalez $75k second fight $170k total for all 3 HBO fights $495k. In comparison Chocolitito earned $1.15 million for the two fights including $600k as CHALLENGER.
By the way lads you have to remember that with most Thais their purse is a 50-50 split with their gym and handlers. And from a promoting standpoint Thais don’t by PPV and very few follow western boxing so even though Rungvisai is one of the worlds best he brings no followers and hence no financial power.
Agree with that and $250k was probably fair given the draw of both fighters but I feel Rungvisai is now moving into the GGG, Lomachenko, Kovalev bracket in terms of US P4P draw (obviously at SFW level). I like to see fighters fighting the best and Matchroom could offer him a career high payday to fight in the UK but the general feeling is that Yafai is not good enough.
