Floyd totally retires people. Look at what he did to Hatton. Think about it the way Vivek Wallace put it, Khan got caught clean and got knocked out. That's not the same as what a fighter like Floyd or Bernard do to you. Look at Kelly Pavlik. Sitting in there with a guy you could never figure out and taking a beating really craps on your confidence. Hatton was never the same after Floyd beat him. If you ask him, even as embarrassing as the fight with Manny was, he'll tell you that his worst defeat was against Floyd. With Amir's loss, he got knocked out in the first round; that's embarrassing. Still, you can always say, "If I avoided that shot, I could have beat him." Thus, it makes coming back easier. Guys like Shane and Manny may beat you up, but Floyd makes you look foolish and leaves a lasting effect. If Amir moves up and is utterly embarrassed, we'll likely see worse effects than the Prescott fight.
