Sick of hearing that it is because they are "non white".

Does nobody remember what sort of treatment Beckham got after the 1998 World Cup?
Who gets the most stick in football now? Ronaldo? Or a non white player?

How often did Frank Bruno and Nigel Benn get booed? How often was Kelly Holmes booed on return from the Olympics? Who got a better treatment from media and public, Paula Radcliffe or Phillips Idowu?

One a world record holder who underachieved in a major race having done practically everything there was to do in her given sport the other a constant underachiever?

I don't like the booing either, but I'm sick to ****ing death of the implication that it is racial.
Apparently the criticism of Dwain Chambers is because he is black, I read that a white drugs cheat would not be treated so badly, funny because Christine Ohuruogo doesn't seem to have been made a villain or had anyone try and tarnish her achievements. But I do seem to remember a free for all on that Irish swimmer who won a few golds years back....(just googled her) Michelle Smith.

It was his first pro fight, what did people want him to do? he was trying his best. People should understand how hard it is to get in the ring in the first place in front of thousands of people, maybe DeGale was

It a sad indication of some of the idiots who go to fights, boorish, jealous, half-wits.

I'm starting to think the German crowds do it better.

Appreciate and respectfully cheer on the fighters, granted they could do it with a bit more umph but they don't act like knobs.

It's funny how football fans get derided on here but at big British fights the same things happen as at a football match i.e booing a member of your own team.
