[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgUDuL9NW9I[/ame] This is a good watch. The bit with Manny's tactics where he shows how he'll hook and step to the side look spot on. I think bradley will be coming forward and eventually be KO'd The Khan tactics look good to. I predict he'll box his way to a wide UD this time around if he sticks to his tactics. Although i expect both Manny and Khan to have a few rocky moments leading up to their victories.
Manny didn't really reveal much about his tactics. Don't think he's that clued up, to be honest. The Khan tactics were good, though. Especially the bit about making him more flat-footed and taking gradual steps back - something I've been concerned about since watching him against Maidana.
you don't normaly get so much info aout tactics so thought it was good. I'm not sure if khan is able to fight more flat footed and stand his ground more. I think his best bet is to fight similar to how he fought kotelnik.
agreed, but was good for fans to watch. Its very rare you'll get such an indepth look at tactics like that. IMO if khan initiates his plans perfecty, I'm not sure that peterson will be able to.
That was a good watch! They did seem to give away a fair bit of information, but who knows what's going on behind the scenes. And it's pretty close to the fight now so I don't think Lamont will start changing up training/tactics around what was seen in that vid.
Tbh not much was given away - even a casual fan knew: Khan needs to be more flat footed/lateral steps Use the jab more (variation could be the upward jab when Lamont comes in with his head) Counterpunching Pacing Stay in the centre of the ring They haven't told us what Khan will do when Lamont comes into the pocket; will he clinch, throw an uppercut etc.
That video reminds of the face to face where Pac and Roach said that they had an answer for everything Marquez could bring and everyone saw hot that worked out. It appears that Pac is going to run from Bradley as he lacks the skills to stay in the pocket. I find it so odd that he is athletic yet he has no skills in the pocket. I think that Bradley is going to use feints and bait Pac in with false back steps. Another thing I would not be suprised to see is Bradley work Pac's body.
Pac was supposed to finish Mosley. He was supposed to completely destroy JMM. And now people are predicting a big KO for Pac again. I'm not saying that's a bad prediction but I get the feeling people still think he's some sort of super knockout machine who took his opponents lightly last year. He hasn't scored a KO since '09 (could even be argued that Cotto could've finished on his feet). If he doesn't KO Bradley can we finally put to rest all this hoopla about his power being so fearful, magical, and failproof? If he does starch Bradley I won't join the masturbation party but will give Pac credit for a very good win.
Khan and Pacquiao fight pretty much the same way every fight anyway. Once they get into the ring, they'll do what they also do best.
Khan has one tactic and that is to backpedal as furiously as he can, slow down long enough to fire off an amateur-esque pitty-patty flurry, and then backpedal some more. He is a joke. A Glass Jawed Joke.
