I know you are a Khan fan but there is such a thing as constructive criticism. He did superbly at the Olympics - especially as he was only 17!
I think Khans being pushed too fast for Warren liking. Thought he be up to around 20 wins before fighting anyone remotely dangerous. Even fighting at domestic level the attention Khan gets can only be ggod for British boxing. If ITV had kept the rights to calzaghe's fights sure British Boxing would be even bigger, but instead this weekend we had darts, great!
I wasn't pleased when I heard he'd signed for warren, but wasn't surprised either. I also predicted right at the outset that there would, at some stage, be conflict between the ambitious Khans and the ultra cautious Warren. I think the original contract isn't an especially long one,so Khan could leave at the end of the term if he felt he wasn't getting the fights he wanted. NB Harrison is a poor choice as trainer. With the possible exception of Willie Limond, Amir Khan would have be able to beat all his pro opponents so far even as a 17yo amateur. I don't believe harrison has brought him along very much at all
khan has an ameture like style, if he continues to fight like an ameture he wont move beyond domestic level, i dont understand hy he chose harrison either, may be enzo gym is a little too far away but trainers like billy graham and ingle could have easily honed his skills
Khan has to at least get a new trainor; sorry but the standard of coaching in the UK is generally appalling, especially re. fighters who stick with the bloke who's trained them since they were 11 out of loyalty/naivety.
The only trainers I really rate are Enzo C and Brendan Ingle. Not sure about Billy Graham. he may be very good or he may just have got lucky with Hatton. As he only trains two other fighters(neither of whom have set the world alight) it's difficult to tell. All the others range from average to awful
