Khan and why the PEDS Allegations Linger

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Hot Dog, Dec 26, 2010.

  1. I know this is a troll thread, but what the hell...

There are no PED allegations, let alone any that are lingering. There are a couple of people on ESB spouting this nonsense, yourself included, but that's it.

What are your thoughts on domestic battery and felony robbery? Should this be condemned also as destroying the credibility of the sport when fighters get mixed up in it?

 Khan's a glass jawed joke apparently, plus he was getting battered from pillar to post in the 10th round. The same people who call him a glass jawed fraud say the fight should have been stopped in the 10th. That doesn't really fit in with your theory very well, although I hear what you're saying.

A cursory glance at the ESB front page suggests otherwise.

Yes lets all be unsuccessful and ordinary. Unless ur name is Mayweather u are a cheat.

  5. I hadn't seen that. What a sore loser. Pathetic really. Sad that he a can't give credit where it's due. Wonder why he didn't say anything before the fight?

If getting battered from pillar to post in the 10th is the result of taking PEDS, then he needs to get some better PEDs!!

I would not go as far as making allegations without tell-tale signs but I do find it a bit funny that Khan, not known for having a sturdy chin, stayed upright despite taking some hard shots while Ortiz, a guy who can probably fight at light middleweight, couldn't last an entire fight against Maidana's punching power. I realize Khan's great body shot sapped Maidana but still, if Khan was rocked by Prescott's jab, then surely Maidana's punches would knock Khan down at least once. In any case, great fight. I love the fact that Team Khan thought they were gonna steamroll through Maidana easily. Round 10 probably shaved off 2 yrs of Roach's life.

For **** sake! how many reasons do some people need??

    1) Khan is a man now, he is closer to his physical peak so he was always bound to get stronger regardless of how specialized his training was.
    2) He's no longer draining himself and at a comfortable weight for his frame.
    3) He works Hard on his strength and conditioning I know some prehistoric folks just don't get it, cos maybe they do something a little out of the box than the tried and tested ancient boxing training methods.
    4) He fights with heart and courage and that is something not easily beaten out of you. Look at Cotto, Froch, guys who can take beatings and not fold so easily, it's testament to their heart and never say die attitude. As Froch has shown for all his limitations it can take you a long long way.

Why are so many people on this forum so loathe to see self-improvement?

If someone improves and betters an insdustry through that improvement, anywhere other than in boxing, they are heroes.

In boxing, it seems 35-40% of people cannot accept genuine improvements.

    You see it all the time;

"His head is bigger than before"
    "His biceps are more veiny"
"He didnt get as tired as the other guy"

Are these idiots so ignorant that they genuinely cant see when a fighter dedicates himself to his career and betters himself?

    Or are they genuinely suspicious?

    Hot Dog:
Grow up and accept Khan has improved. Improving yourself in some way is not totally unachievable. You should try it and see how you go. If you do improve, maybe I wont put it down to illegal drugs usage.

O.k. Floyd, if you don't want to fight PacMan just say so. No need to create an account here on ESB and post under an alias.

    Just kidding Floyd fans!!! :thumbsup:yep
