    :rofl

Not going to get into any arguments over the nature of the knockout but I think most of the boxing world has gone on record saying it wasn't illegal.. With this in mind how can Amir be so stupid to say this? I could understand it if he were talking about ortiz being lucky after his numerous offences but can't help but feel he is just saying anything to bring the attention to himself and a potential match up with Floyd.. Bordering on desperation and I hope even more now that Floyd gives him a beating.

WTF? I just read this too.... lol

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/sep/21/floyd-mayweather-jr-amir-khan?newsfeed=true

"He hit Ortiz regardless if he was looking at him or not. Why was he looking at the referee? It's a rule in boxing, you never take your eye off your opponent and that's what Victor Ortiz did. Another rule is to defend yourself at all times, which is mentioned to fighters before they get in the ring and just before the bell goes. So it's one of those things. He caught Victor so clean even when he got caught with the first left hook, Victor should have put his hands up at least or maybe held him, whereas he looked at the referee straightaway.
"If that had happened to me I would have thought: 'It is my own fault.' Victor is probably thinking that it's his own fault. It's not Floyd's fault."

hopefully 6-9months vs Floyd will happen.

Khan is such an hypocrite but then again when people are desperate and all that..

What i think is fact is that Amir was well lucky against Maidana and if it wasn't for Cortez he would have probably been stopped by many other refs. And the fact that he is a little upset that via primetime Floyd did more ppv sales in the uk than King Khan did.

I was so anticipating seeing two of my favorite fighters, Khan and Peterson battle it out in a 12 rd war, but that was b4 this Ortiz/Phoney debacle.

Only a month ago I was saying that Khan, being only what 22/23, should stay put at 140 and get Peterson, Prescott, and Bradley, but now.......NOPE.....straight to Floyd, then perhaps after he takes Floyd manhood away, he could move back down and take care of Peterson and Bradley, obviously Breidis has been assigned Bclass status since his robbery in the UK.

You know I just started to like Khan after the Judah fight, but since then he started to sprout a lot of crap again and he dismissed a Maidana rematch. Now this stupid remark and I'm back at where I was before.

Somebody please shut this dumbass up! :-(

    Very bold indeed.

For me Khan the fighter has done nothing to suggest he could just do as you recommend. Personally I can't stand him for being so thick and thinking he is great when he still has plenty to prove. But putting my personal dislike for him aside and concentrating on his resume/ achievements I see nothing to suggest to me that he would beat Floyd up at welter weight whilst he still makes the many mistakes he makes. To be honest I don't think it a forgone conclusion he beats the likes of ortiz or berto cos lets face it apart from Maidana his resume tells his very little about him on the elite stage.

and you call khan a hypocrite.

As much as I love him, pretty sure Carl is one of the worst ones out there.
