Khan beats Berto pretty clearly, and is 50/50 against Ortiz for me now. I'm not sure who would win that one, Khan could outbox him from range, but Ortiz is pretty decent at cutting off the ring and hits hard enough to hurt him badly. However that being said Lamont is a better inside fighter than Ortiz (and just plain better full stop, he would outbox Ortiz over 12 rounds in a rematch).

Khan's "chin" is about on a par with Ortiz's (sp?), but he still gets hit far too much for my liking. I guess we'll see when he moves up.

Both Berto and Ortizo would get in close and whack him about with monster power shots. Khans chin isnt on par with Ortiz either.

Khan has very skinny legs thats why he lacks real power at 140, mark my words Khan will carry/improve power to 147, thats his natural weight.

Khan got no power cuz he dont sit on them, he also smothers himself. 147 wont make him more powerful, improving his technique will do that.

Yes it is, at least now. Ortiz was bounced on and off the canvas like a yoyo against Maidana, and looked more noticeably hurt against Peterson than Khan did. Lamont would beat Ortiz pretty clearly over 12 rounds in a rematch.

You don't gain power by putting muscles in your legs and going up in weight.

True, but the more weight you gain the less Khan will move around, and that in turn will allow him to plant his feet and get off better powered shots.

If his base(as in legs) give him a stronger foundation and naturally his power improves, he might not have to run at times, and stop or hault his oppoents in their tracks and make them respect his improved power.

I cannot get my head round the idea that a guy weighing in a whole one pound under the weight limit and rehydrating back to 148-9lbs should be going up a division!

Go getta - are you saying Khan is somehow going to gain 12-14 lbs of muscle and then jump up to 147?

You do when your legs are as skinny as Khan's, i also feel Khan is a bit drained at the weight, that also draws your power if you having problems making weight.

I think his stamina has as been effected, and that leads him to trying to hold on, and go onto the rope for a break and then end up eating shots.

He's doesn't look very impressive at 140LBS...and Ortiz, Berto, and Bradley would give him another (L)...

Yes, watch Khan workarte vs Kotelnik, compared to Peterson.

Khan was on the back foot for all that fight to, but he kept it up for at least 10 rounds, Khan started to gas vs Peterson in 3 rounds.

Khan used to have a much higher work rate, I know Peterson closed him off better but still Khan's gasing could be sign of tight at this weight.

I remember getting laughed at by saying Ortiz would stop Khan at welterweight. I know there are still a fair few who think he beats him but nowhere near as much. Khan would have a better shot against Berto imo
