My rushed interpretation of that word is when a fighter[lets just call him X] has no other better options on the table and there are no obstacles stopping that fight from happening, yet X still declines the fight due to him publicly stating that he doesn't want the fight against Y because he's scared of that opponent.

Well we'll just have to agree to disagree. For me, I just don't really like using the term 'duck' at all as you'll never know the finite details unless you're in their shoes. Also, fighters constantly try to blame the other for being unreasonable and you just never really get the truth.

For example, many people felt that Bowe was ducking Lewis, asking for a ridiculous amount[90/10 split], which is an absurd amount, but is there any evidence to support that? How big a role did Newman play? And, did Riddick just go along with whatever he said? Only Bowe will truly know if he didn't want that fight because he was scared of Lewis.
