I wasn't the one who started it, these guys just jumped on me and started attacking when I was having a jolly time on this thread. BTW does anyone know about what Freddie Roach said about Mustafa not being an IBF official?
It doesn't equal running, but that's what khan did. The issue is not that both want to fight at the preferred distance, it's how they achieve. Leonard was always doing something, not flat out back pedalling to avoid contact. In the 7th round khan actually traversed the whole ring. He was running. Fighting on the back foot is maintaining your range while denying your opponent's. Khan denied his own range too because he was being negative.
not to mention him turning his back several times in the maidana fight - literally turning away and running
Ill have to watch round 7 again to make a comment on that point. We're probably going to have to agree to disagree here, although I do concede at times Khan was moving very fast backwards to try to avoid a mauling Peterson. Although I won't concede he was running throughout the fight, Khan was there to fight and he did fight. His tieing up skills on the inside/his inside fighting skills are obviously very poor and obviously Peterson was cutting off the ring well and not allowing space for Khan to impose his will. To me running= Mosley Pacquiao type, someone who is unwilling to engage and covers up and avoids trading punches and just happy to see the final bell, Khan was actually trying win and obviously Khan got hit a lot in the Peterson fight so I don't consider him to have run in the fight. To me Khan backpeddling is Khan's low quality way of trying to make space to punch, something Freddie and Amir obviously have to work on. All credit to Peterson btw, I hope he doesn;t get a NC handed to him and the glory taken
basically Khan seems to be working towards this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_A77xlV4U4[/ame]
Anyone that feels the need to tell someone multiple times that they're ignoring them clearly isn't doing it right. Shut the **** up.
If khan had been on the backfoot he'd have won much clearer. He was only fighting at one pace at one range. As soon as he didn't that range he held, pushed or ran. All negative ways to work.
funny how you didnt ignore that one, must of hit a nerve little boy to answer your question NO, but in this case as highlighted by everyone else in this thread your off the mark and you then come across as a troll which now i think your not, its just immaturity anyway see you later laddy gotto go get a blower off your mama
yup very one dimensional when taken out of comfortzone. I think Peterson Khan 2 will be a very intersting fight.
