I think your favourite fighter will have Khan on his ass, Khan has never faced anyone of Barrera's capability and like you say, if Marco is even a lesser version of himslf, he still ko's Khan.

I was really, really hoping this was more of a joke than an actual fight on the table.

What are Khan's people even thinking here?

    Yeah...

No offense McG but your statement is pretty much tantamount to admitting "I'm just transparently hating for the sake of hating!"

I was right up there near the front of the pack decrying Khan as a hypejob waiting to be shattered into whisker smithereens. However, simple dislike or a desire to not see him succeed at a top level is not a reason to begrudge him a fight with a MAB who chooses to continue fighting past his drink by date and obviously after going 2-2 (with a borderline iffy win) in world class fights is not a marquee player at this stage and weight until proven otherwise, despite his established former greatness. Ventura/Nolasco/Khan is a very logical and linear progression for MAB's swansong comeback. Neither is particularly undeserving of this fight. If the idea of MAB being a notch on Khan's bedpost gets under your skin, then hope and pray that Marco gets up for this and gives Amir the same ****less treatment that Naz got. I agree that a Barrera loss would be tragic, but **** happens. To say the fight is inappropriate in any way because of Khan's inevitable exposure loss to Presscott is not accurate, IMO and is just pure emotion talking.

Damnit IB, you always have to inject rational thought into a subject. :D

I do think we can pile on Khan some for a) taking this fight in the first place and subjecting us as fans to its treatment as a credible "event" and b) being such a weak prospect that he has a LIVE chance of losing the fight. Imagine if Urbano Antillon, Edwin Valero, or Anthony Peterson were fighting MAB. Everyone would scream massacre and the fight would be called off.

Instead, MAB fights Khan, and 50,000 people will show up just to see if he can possibly suck bad enough that he loses to an ancient legend. It pisses me off that better young fighters are seeing their ink absorbed by this crap.

And I was laughing so hard at the Kimbo farce... Khan is turning into ours.

    Avatar bet this won't happen?
If you lose, you have to put a picture of...let me think...:huh..oh, put a picture of yourself. That should be insulting enough.
