Yeah, Ellie's all about the hyperbole. If you watch any of his videos, NBA, MMA or boxing, everyone he talks about is "one of the greatest ever", so its no surprise with Salita. If I'm not mistaken, Ellie got into boxing around the same time he learned about Salita, and not knowing anything about it, he got all hooked on the unbeaten thing, and obviously since they're both Jewish... Now that he's been doing boxing for about a minute, I think he understands he was way off base, but he's a good natured guy and compliments just about everyone, I'm surprised he draws as much hate as he does. His comments are hilarious though, I agree.
No hate from me, just amusement at some of the more outlandish remarks. Hope he sticks following boxing despite the Salita catastrophe, the sport can always use fans. :good
Oh he will Leif, as far as I know he gets paid for it. What may surprise some of you is that he isn't some random person, he's a professional journalist. Apparently he's worked for newspapers, AOL, NBC, and he's won an Emmy among other awards. After that, I think any of us could be boxing journalists.
Elie Seckbech offers solid coverage but nothing else. Nobody should ever take this guy's opinion seriously.
He came from the grind.. All the way from Jerusalem.. Elie was the first guy I thought of when Salita got ****ed up last night. He looks like he's been crying in that vid...
he's got a camera, and he's got the interest, thats about it....as little as he knows about boxing there simply aren't any other reporters as dedicated.
Yeah, for a guy who bills himself as a legitimate journalist, he sure went overboard with his personal bias.
