He's nothing more than a hyped up no body at this point in time. IMO it wont be long till he's ko'ed again.

I thought that before the fight with Kotelnik that Khan and/or his camp said they were moving up as the title fight against a very beatable fighter couldn't be turned down. Also that there was no commitment to stay at that weight.

I think it all depends on who he can get fights against. If they mandate defences against live opponents with any kind of chance of a win then he'll move back down, if they don't then he will stay as having a title to milk will be important to Sky Box Office.

Oh, I think he beats Urango pretty easily.

Here we go again about Hatton's mythical footwork.:patsch
Juan Arango may well be a tank, but he's flat footed and can only move one way. Khan would be waaay to fast for Urango; Jab - move back - forward - cluster punch - move back - jab - guard Urango's oncoming wild swings and so on.

I don't believe for a second that Khan would or even could KO Urango, but the fact Urango wouldn't be able to take control of the fight would demoralise him, and I'd see Khan start skipping away with the rounds from R6 till the end.

Mate this is boxing, chances are anybody can get knocked out by anyone. Even if he does get KO'd, I dont think that would have the same detrimental damage on his career like 2 or 3 massive decsion losses.

It's hard to guage Khan at the moment, he was impressive in the Kotelnik fight but I don't have much doubt that Bradley would beat the **** out of him. At the moment I'd have to give Alexander the nod as well

''WBA interim-junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana has a target on his back. Not because of his current status, but because of his current position to champion Amir Khan. Golden Boy Promotions is trying to put Maidana in the co-feature spot to the Lucian Bute-Librado Andrade rematch on November 28 on HBO. There is no official word if Maidana will get on the show. An issue with the overseas television may prevent him from fighting that night. That still hasn't stopped every junior welterweight from trying to get the fight.

Everyone from Kendall Holt, Nate Campbell, Steve Forbes, Anthony Peterson and even Devon Alexander want the fight. And it's not about the money. ***********.com was told the money to fight Maidana [on that show] is not spectacular. The reward involved is great. The WBA's recent decision has created a heavy Maidana demand.

Khan defends his title against mandatory Dmitriy Salita in early December. The winner has to fight Maidana within 90-days. If someone knocks Maidana off for the interim-title, they would also secure the Khan-Salita winner in the process. HBO exposure and a guaranteed title shot is more than enough for most fighters to take short money. Alexander is the exception. He has the WBC title but a win over Maidana would raise his stature and also create a demand for a fight with Khan. Alexander knocked off one British fighter when he beat Junior Witter to win the title.''

Looks like Khan will be fighting Maidana next. Think with Roach in his corner it is a winnable fight. Although Maidana has never been stopped, he was knocked down 3 times by Ortiz last time out, I think Khans power is sometimes underestimated and Khan would have a good chance of stopping him. However fighting for a stoppage would be incredibly dangerous, IMO a points win would be the most likely result. Although Maidana packs a fair bit of power and if Khan gets hit flush could be lights out.

That tends to suggest that a lot of people consider Khan vulnerable.....

Saying all that, whilst Maidana is a banger he is hardly rock solid himself.

Khan v Urango would be an intriguing fight and a very risky one for Khan, but now that Khan took the World Title so soon in his first fight at light welter he has put himself in the frame for big fights and most of them at that level are going to be tough.

I would have preferred if Khan had stayed at lightweight for a while as he seemed stronger in that division. I think Khan has improved immeasurably under Roach and he in maturing into a classy boxer, but he doesnt have a power shot to take his opponent out. Guys like Maidana, Urgango and others would soak up Khans shots all night whilst Khan needs to be able to avoid power shots from those guys for 12 rounds. I am not sure if he could do that against the likes of Maidana or Urango....
