Exactly, Khan is a ****ing joke. I guess it'll take until he officially gets starched by some average fighter for everyone to come to terms that he's not going to do anything significant in professional boxing, despite all of the ridiculous hype that they ate up.
yep, people were wrong, problem is he's now a boring fighter who'll struggle against top opposition.imo he is yet to do anything significant on the world stage,to win a title at 135 would have been a better achievement.
He toyed with Kotelnik, who went life and death with Witter and Maidana, so you have to give him his due. Lets see how his defence holds up against more positive, faster, harder hitting and aggressive opponents.
It was an amazing victory. Kotelnik did well against Witter who has been outboxed twice by true world class fighters like Alexander and Bradley and he also did well against Maidana who has proven his world class by getting nearly poleaxed by Victor Ortiz who lost to Khan by stoppage in the ams. Awesome.
I really don't think Khan is a 'boring' fighter -- he's very flawed, but definitely not boring. Even with his new style he still has a very high workrate.
No question he has done great. His punch resistance seems really poor. He got hurt very badly on domestic level. Laszlo shocked him, Limond rocked his world, Gomez shook him and Prescott finished him. The guy can say he was C'Wealth champ and a genuine light welter chap with wins over MAB and Kotelnik. He dominated Kotelnik, did Witter, M'Baye, Medina etc!!!
People love to hate this lad. I really like him as a person and he has a great work ethic!!! Good luck to him. hope he achieves everything possible to just prove the haters wrong
he does get alot of flack but he brought it on himself, everyone realised his flaws yet he was insistent that he would be champ, fair play he changed his whole fight style, found discipline and defenceand has gone on to pick up a strap, he could beat alexander but none of the other 140 belt holders. really hoping a fight with mccloskey doesnt get made, snoozefest!would love to see kahn in there with a come forward pressure fighter, hatton kahn at this stage would be a perfect story for british boxing and something i'd love to see. i'd pick kahn by ud
I believe everyone needs some negative feedback. If it's all glowing praise, where's the motivation to excel. I love it when someone tells me I can't achieve something as it provides me an extra kick in the ass to prove them wrong.
