Even under the USADA procedures he would have been legal to fight! That's what's surprised me the most. Thank God they [Team Peterson] didn't know about that carbon isotope test with VADA that you've mentioned, else none of this would have been brought to our attention.

Boxing's anti-doping standards and methods are archaic and need a serious make-over. Anyone who argues otherwise is brain ****ing dead.

Not only should they ban cheating ****s like Peterson and Margarito but they should also take away the licences of doctors that administer and prescribe these drugs to athletes for illegal advantage.

The more that comes out on this, the less cut and dry it becomes, have you seen the ratio that triggered the "fail"...I've been looking for this?

Why didn't they find out the positive test results until after the fight? Not only that, why did the results not get done until MONTHS/WEEKS after the fight (can't remember the exact date of the fight)? What is the point of testing if you only find out about PED use after an innocent fighter has already put their health, record, and reputation on the line?

This **** makes no sense. For boxing to be taken seriously there needs to be a 48hr turnaround time for every test sample, and if the sample comes back negative they either cancel or postpone the fight (depending on circumstances, the exact method of handling a positive test result could be specified in contracts).

To wait until after a fight has already taken place means the damage has already been done, and is irreparable. What happens to Khan's loss? Does it get wiped off his record? It's a huge waste of time and blood and sweat for a fighter to have to go through with a fight against an opponent who cheated, and to only find out about the cheating after the fact.

Mayweather, Ward and Khan, along with all other boxers, especially the ones at the top, should spearhead the effort to keep the sport clean.

I'm not sure what VADA's ratio is, dude. But USADA's is 4:1, which Peterson would have bypassed.

"They don't make you better. They just make you RE-LENT-LESS!" - Floyd Mayweather Sr.

Judging from that first fight? Sounds pretty accurate.

Can't believe Peterson; he seemed like a decent dude to root for and made a slightly reluctant fan out of me. This outcome just proves you really never know who may be cheating and that the most stringent testing is needed today. Kahn got properly royally screwed over - needs to be a NC and the belts returned to Kahn. Still can't totally believe Peterson would cheat though.

I don't think there was a test for T/E ratio. VADA straight up test for synthetic testosterone so no need to look at ratio.

So many atheletes are staying legal by staying within the states T/E ratio but still doping, it is seriously flawed.
