That's his sole redemption at the moment with me. He still has time on his side, and still has the time to make the changes required.

You're overrating Khan's talent/technical ability. Don't be blinded by handspeed. It's nice, it can get you very far with a few other things as Khan demonstrates. It looks very impressive. But its not the be all and end all, it doesn't signify amazing untapped potential just because its aesthetically pleasing. You have to look at the package as a whole and as Beeston says his ring smartness, defensive technique, offensive variety are all weak. His movement is uneconomical.

Excellent point, this is the point I make to my friend. Strip someone of their best attribute see what you have left.

Unfortunately his style does not lend itself to longevity and he's thick as ****.

We're presenting a little false dychotomy with that though aren't we.

I mean take the power away from Tyson, take freak athleticism away from a prime Roy Jones etc etc. Not a great road to go down. I understand what you guys mean though.

I agree Slip...but he really has NOTHING apart from handspeed! And balls. Massive balls.

I know, Flea. Just too simplistic a way to look at it i think though.

Agreed. But like you, I see where they're coming from, here's a fighter where it genuinely applies.

Even with his failings in some areas the fact remains if can improve his inside defence and fighting he becomes a guy hard to beat all round.

From range Khan is near out point able meaning he will land more punches than you due to his speed and style.

See the little word highlighted? It's the most important in the full post.
