Khan could learn a thing or two from Keith Thurman about Mayweather approach

When Thurman was asked about what he would say to Floyd Mayweather he responded with:

"Do you want to fight? Be honest with me. If you’re gonna leave me alone, just let me know you’re gonna leave me alone – I’m not worried about it. I’m 26 years old. I’m gonna have my own career – I will have my own career.”

This is how Khan should have approached it. He has been bypassed by 'Money' three times, has no real world titles and has lost a lot of time, and potentially money, in the process.

Exactly, and this is entirely the reason I believe Thurman will be picked over Amir Khan.

People who genuinely believe Floyd will fight Berto/Mayfield are idiots, that statement was made because people will be so concerned over how bad those opponents are whoever Mayweather picks will be seen as a genuine threat.

"Floyds fighting BERTO! why isnt he fighting this young KO artist in Thurman who is calling him out left right and center? Floyds running scared!"

By proxy this increases interest in the fight and hit the desired targets in PPV sales . . . well in theory at least. doubled up with the possibility of it being Floyds last fight Millions will tune in to see it . . . . not to see an end to a great career but as a last ditch effort that Floyd will finally lose.

With Amir Khan he has fought Devon Alexander and Chris Algieri, the only two fighters of note since his lost to Danny Garcia, and despite a dominant win over Alexander he struggled in the Algieri fight. Not exactly threatening is it considering a past it Pacquiao put Algieri down multiple times.

Thurman however has knocked out Soto Karass, Julio Diaz and Digeo Chaves. all of which have proved themselves very tough fighters not to mention dominating Guerrero and Bundu by scores of 120-107

Thurman right now is the most deserving of WW's and in all fairness deserves his shot even over fellow champion Kell Brook and int. champion Timothy Bradley.

I'd pick Thurman if I was Floyd. Take him to school. not lose a round. Let people believe he is a credible threat due to his power

He needs to one time Collazo though...shouldn't be too hard.

Khan's desperation will backfire, if he is accepted, he'll be making chump change.
