Khan does U-Turn

Funny how all the talk of Khan wanting to avenge his only defeat to Prescott seems to have evaporated!

Prescott annihilated Khan!

 

Or rather - "Let me fight the best, whoever the best may be at the time, when I'M ready".

He knows he's not prepared to take on the best fighters. Beating Kotelnik isn't going to change that either.

 

For me, Khans talented, BUT to be fair, in my opinion, the only true tough opponenet who he had to really think and fight against was Gairy St Claire who took Khan the distance, he boxed and used good ring craft over all in that fight, i think Kotelnik will provide a similar test, but the fact is, its a shame against ***an and Barrera cause they both suffered early injuries in the fight, (***an with the broken leg and Barrera with the cut from the head clash), Khan would have been pressurized more by ***an and he only would have stopped him in the later rounds if he had his leg, and against Barrera he would have had to stay switched on and settle for a points win, its just a shame in his last two fights that the opponents were injured and taught him nothing. If a determined Kotelnik shows up willing to keep his title, Khan will really have to use good ring craft here, not just speed, Kotelnik is tough enough to take what Khan has.

 

Thats why for real boxing fans this fight is the time for Khan to show us how far he has come and how much Dr.Roach has improved him really. I was making a point to one of mates the other day, you never really see Khan lose even a single round on points. How will Khan react if he is losing on points after a few rounds?.

Lots of questions should get answered in this next Khan fight.
