Khan doesn't take boxing seriously anymore, he's lost love for it

True, but it's not a braggable accomplishment for Khan to claim that distinction without having Bradley's scalp on his resume. Winning something by an unchallenged default rather than having to earn it against the best isn't the same thing.

    IDK.....

Bradley knew Khan would clown him and DUCKED that fight like the plague.

I mean he dropped his title to hide from Khan, who subsequently was robbed in the Peterson fight prior to being blindly starched by Garcia.:think

Just because someone is rich, it doesn't mean they don't want MORE money. Different spending habits, short career-span if you're an athlete as opposed to an office job

Of course money played a part in this decision. I don't think it's solely a payday, like Douglas fighting Holyfield and showing up out of shape and not even trying to get up from the knockdown. Khan will go in with confidence and at least try to win.

Ultimately it won't matter as his chin, defense, and size will betray him in the end.

I don't subscribe to this narrative. It's often forgotten or overlooked that after Bradley defeated Alexander he promptly called out Khan and offered to fight him in the UK. Khan declined and elected to face McCloskey.

    Ive never believed that.

I watched Tim Bradley say himself he didnt want the Khan fight, and stuttered when they asked him why the fight wasnt happening.

I don't remember the incident your'e referring to, but Im positive that Khan wanted the fight and Bradley did NOT.

    Did they have any negotiations?

That's what really matters, and so much of that is behind closed doors. The public can only know so much of who is really at fault when it comes to fights not materializing. Calling out doesn't mean squat, I don't know why boxing fans put any stock into that.

Bradley did admit that he was worried that he'd he lose to Khan and that would screw up a Pacquiao fight. I guess he has more respect for Khan's abilities than I do. I wouldn't have picked Khan to beat Bradley and I wouldn't have even made him a "live underdog" either. Too dumb and flawed and gets flustered from his gameplan.

So for the fight not taking place in that particular time frame, then it's on Bradley. In other time frames, who knows?

All fair points. But what I find interesting was Khan's reluctance to publicly acknowledge Bradley calling him out. Khan could have easily called Bradley's bluff if indeed that's what Bradley was doing by publicly agreeing to the fight. To the best of my recollection, he instead remained quiet and instead quickly moved forward to finalize the Mccloskey fight - a matchup that nobody really wanted to see.
