I don't understand what Khan else could have done? MABs finished at this level and weight and Kahn showed it.
The booing your own sportsman is a general problem with English sports fans (I say English because I haven't seen Scots/Sheep/Northern Irelands do it). It has to stop.
Even before the Prescott fight there were so many Brits who wanted him to lose. Hell, even here every 10 minutes there was a new thread on how "I cant wait to see that glass jaw shattered". It was quite pathetic really. Where were you before the Prescott loss? In Reykjavik? Did you read the comments posted on message boards? hate groups started on facebook? drank in a bar and listened to the racist comments that were made about him? Interact with brits at work and asked them what they thought of Khan? You have either never been here in the UK or are in denial. Its true he'd never been booed like that before but to say that race has nothing to do with it is beyond delusional. The Prescott loss played a part but a large number (not all) of brits will never be able to accept him purely because of his race. Some of them will say this directly, others will deny it and claim he is "cocky and arrogant" which is a joke For the record, I'm not even a Khan fan and not a Pakistani, but living in the UK, I understand how much his race plays a part in people disliking him.
The hate people show Khan is just ridiculous. People pick up on anything and hate. No boxer will ever be able to please everybody and he will always do something wrong in the eyes of the fans - FACT!
i just watched khan and pacquiao sparring. Pac man takes it easy but when he lets go khan has no answer although khans speed occasioanly lands but like i say Pac man was takein it easy
all khan haters,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,you are probably jealous of a man who seems to face up to adversity and prevail,,, ,,i know he's not the granite-jawed super-champ that the press had built him up to be. but frankly,,anyone who judges a fighter through un-educated media hype should re-adress their interest in the sport. for me khan has been sailing in the "warren" boat of mediocracy for most of his career,,whether warren believes that he is not good enough we will never know..... i thought that khan again came through competently,,,although those 'bandy legs' still made a few minor cameo appearances last night!!!.that is something he will always have to some degree i think, unless he grows into them! still,, weather those nice people ( who still line khan/warrens pockets with the cost of a ticket )are ******ed enough to still boo him, definately need to get a few brain cells between them!!. it's like getting a ticket to a world-cup final and then saying "i hate football" or winning the world series and saying "poker is rubbish" wake up!!,,please
I dont like him , I think he is overhyped & arrogant however LLH has a point in this thread . Khan will never be fully excepted by the people of the UK due to his Pakistani origins. I personally couldnt give a **** whether he comes from mars but the cold reality is that alot of "casual" fight fans in the UK wont give him a look in , bare in mind this fight took place the same week as the national papers were running headlines about not surrending to muslim extremists views.......Its sad but if you go to workplace canteens tomorrow breaktime you'll be hearing "I cant wait to see that P*** C**t get knocked out". I apologise if this offends anyone but its just the way it is....:think
