Naz had a chin though ... and was very awkward ... I think more than anything he got outboxed.

But Khan's situation is different but I don't know if the ceiling is too high for him w/o a world class chin.

He has world class offence with a bit of tuning, though. If he can actually work out the kinks in his defence so his chin doesn't get hit often, and not flush when it does then he can still win a world title. Just it'll take longer than he wanted.

He's got great offense but I do think his chin isn't good. He better work on the defense before stepping up to the elite fighters in the division. He's been hurt by lower class comp, imagine what the cream of the crop would do to him if they had him hurt.

Naz had a non-existant defence. He always did. Only he could get away with it against fringe contenders and the journeyman he was beating up on impressively on his rise to the top. I liked Naz, but Nicky Piper seems to think if he was 100% against Barrera he would knocked him out. That would have never happened.

I dunno, i prob think so.....but what we do know is that Barrera won of the night full stop, we can say ifs and buts all night long.

But Naz was an elite full stop.

The reason he goes down easily is because he has 1.5% body fat. He is nearly a corpse, all it takes is a gust of wind and it can KO him on fight night. :nut

An elite that was never capable of being the best in the world.

Neither did foreman, i can go on.....in the ATG great list i would definately put Barrera in front of him, that does not mean that Naz wasn't an elite.

Its a shame how he ended it, definately losses respect there, but he was and great great fighter. End of.

You just compared Foreman to Naz. Foreman beat and destroyed much better opposition, and actually cameback to the sport to become a world champion again.

Naz destroyed Sanchez, struggled against Kevin Kelley, and then was totally outclassed against Barrera. He then quit the sport all together.

Naz isn't on the ATG list.

Read what i write, please, just R-E-A-D.

You said Naz lost to the best, i said so did Foreman. Its a comparision and a correct one. No shame in losing to the best. Most posters would probably attest to Naz being an elite, you're being an idiot.

I'm not saying he was the greatest ever or anything close to that, what i am saying is that when Naz was fighting, he was an ELITE. Now read it slowly please.

He might have some problems there, not serious or major but still it should be enough proof for him to improve his defense and not get careless in there which he usually does. Khan wants to bring some action and entertain, and for it people bash on him and hate. He should just improve his defense and he'll go far after he does, point is he should do it very soon before he gets used to his current style and suffers a loss from it.

Nas' weakness was his mental fortitude.

the comparison between Khan and Hamed is only demographic

Also people think Barrera demolished Hamed but in fact Hamed managed to pull out about 4 rounds.

Naz had better reflexes, and a very good chin. He wasn't hurt very much at all, considering his style.
