???read again. amirs father rejected the fight...obviously....why on Earth would he want hes son to fight Pac at any stage
I wouldn't consider this ducking. Khan IS still too green to be getting in there with Pacquiao. It has knockout written all over it. Big risk/reward if he can win, but likely just plain too much risk. It would border on foolish for Khan to get in with Pacquiao at this point. That said, Pacquiao may be retired or over the hill by the time Khan is ready. Such is life.
No offence to Khan but not fighting Manny is definitely in Khans best interests at the moment. Khan has sparred with Manny and it should be obvious to him that Pac is a class apart.
Kahn is probably about 4-5yrs away from peaking, by which time Pacquiao will probably be retired. Could see a ''changing of the guard'' type fight happening in 3-4yrs times.
Erm.....anybody thought about Roach's thought on the matter? Last time I checked he trains both of them, and said "I will never let the two fight each other".
Just to answer that question. That crap came from Arum and guess what . . . it's just another effort to stir up talks about Pacquiao. Khan was never mentioned by Arum as posible opponent for PAC before. Names I remember are Valero, PBF or Cotto. :deal
Kahn and Manny sparred before the Hatton fight... Maybe Roach saw something in their sparring and thought it would be an entertaining/winnable fight for Manny
I wont say a easy win, but Pac right now would be a big fav to win the fight. Khan will not do a Hatton and walk str8 into his punches. Khan would have the reach and slight hand speed adv, and now Khan can fight off the back foot and counter. But I would never let this fight happen right now, Khan is too young, Pac is in his prime.
It would be sucidial for Kahn to fight Pacquiao right now. Although they have been sparring in the gym, if the rumors that Pacquiao is always kicking is ass then Kahn will get KTFO in an actual fight.
