Khan expects to replace Roach as trainer

None of the Mayweather's would waste time training his bum ass anyway.

It's not just that. Khan already said that having these training camps in Philippines, then LA, and wherever else, it's not good. Pacquiao is Roach's main priority, so Khan needs to go to a trainer who doesn't have him travel all around the world for training camps. And in general, Roach is slowing down BIG TIME!! He isn't as mobile in the ring any more, so it's pointless Khan staying with Roach, if Roach can't offer a secure training future due to health.

 

He already peaked at 25, he aint getting better.

 

Problem is both Lennox and Wlad had/have savage one punch KO power to keep the opponent honest and think twice about going after their Chin.

Khan doesn't have that. He has no power he throws feather fisted McFlurries at his opponent like he is still an Amateur. Steward wouldn't be able to help Khan he would still get his Glass Jaw shattered.

 

Khan said that he loves Freddie in one of his recent interviews but said that he needs a second trainer who can help him and be with him 24/7. He needs ALOT of help plus Roach isn't a defensive wizard/teacher and that's what Roach lacks. It also seems like Khan has overrated himself. God gave him the fast hands, now he needs to learn how to use them. Don't go blistering full guns from round 1. Vary your handspeed. Adust accordingly. Learn some spoiler tricks. Learn how to find in the inside. Learn how to fight going backwards. Learn how to spin your opponent. Have good footwork and balance. Khan needs to become a gym rat and impress in us in his next fight in Decemeber.

If I was Khan, I would keep Freddie but hire Brother Nasim or Emmauel as a co-trainer. Loads of trainer's have had interest in training Khan... he just needs to pick the right one and work at it. Above all, his mindset need's to change... he acts foolish in the ring when things aren't going his way. Take a step back and JAB.

 

You really think he peaked? I think his best performance was against Marcos in 2010. Since then, he hasn't improved/added anything new to his game so it's hard to say. I mean he doesn't have know how to fight in the pocket.... it's like half of his game is non-existant.

 

It's just strange how everything was fine until he got knocked out, there was no suggestion of any problems whatsoever and Khan was supremely confident and happy with Roach, yet within minutes of the Garcia fight he was making excuses.

Any of them would take Khan in an heartbeat specially Sr so he could rub it in on Roach who he hates with a passion.

 

Khan can employ Mickey Goldmill, Master Roshi, King Kai, Keisuke Miyagi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Ben Kenobi, Yoda ect...

Amir will still be flawed.

 

Hope this new trainer can get Khan to be more aware of NECK PUNCHES damm they can **** you up.

Khan needs a live trainer, Roach's health is not the best, this is a sport and business, you have to look out for no.1 which is always yourself in this game, so if Khan feels Roach is not giving him 100% due to Roach's other commitments then he is right to move, plus Roach can't improve Khan's defence anyway.
