regardless, did you read some of their comments on Twitter? if Ameen's lawyers have got screen shots of them then Khan's team arse will be twitching to the degree that they could fasten buttons on a seat!
You really are an arrogant **** with your hate blinkers on, not a good thing for a prospective writer who is supposed to demonstrate balance . If you don't think that what Ameen did during the fight was questionable then you really are an idiot of the highest order. This won't get to court, no chance.
As I mentioned earlier all of these Twitter comments made were mainly in question form not actual statments. TO prove libel/slander you need to establish that whatever was said or written was a lie. Now I do not guarantee that no statement was made but like I said from what I remember all of the statements made were questions based on what Team Khan/Khan saw. So by asking "what was he doing there?" "was he tampering?" is not a statement which is a lie, unless you can recover damages for asking question which is not the current case in UK legislation. I am not saying what Khan said was jsutified or right but from a legal perspective I see it quite unlikely that Ameen will win, but once again court room is almost like a boxing ring anything can happen.
6 Jan 2012: Khan accuses unidentified man of "interfering" with officials and the judges' scorecards http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/16646592.stm
Jan 6 2012: Media are more accountable as they said Khan accuses, this is classed as hearsay which is admissible but not the best form of evidence in such a high profile case. Again in the BBC interview Khan said Ameen was wrong adding the scorecards if that is what happened anyway. Still not the best case for Ameen...keep trying :good
Took more than a few minutes, but my prediction was right. Prospective writer? I'm the editor of the magazine I work for!
What a ****ing ****. Khan had every right to question him and now this nobody is trying to make the best of his 10 minutes of fame.
This is true ... but the whole saga has become a bore really ... nobody has come out of this very well ..especially Khan . Khan is a true master of the proverbial PR balls up.
you cant take someone to court and then say prove I did something wrong. he has to prove that the comments were 1) wrong 2) delivered in a way to maliciously (intended or not) 3) negatively affected Ameen in some way Id say due to the fact that Ameen was not supposed to be there, nevermind whether he did anything wrong, so I would suggest the possibility of a court case is not very likely.
