Khan has NOTHING except his "name" The fans or at least the UK fans want to see a conclusion to this british rivalry. Brook wants it. He holds a title and yet inactive Khan doesn't seem to want it unless he can have 80/20 split....which is beyond reasonable in any sane persons eyes. I'm fast losing respect to Khan even tho I think he's a very fast skiled boxer. Khan criticises Brooks defences. Well Yo Yo Dan was a mandatory...in that one he had NO CHOICE. Gavern ok...you can have a pop for that one maybe...but look at it as a stay busy fight whilst Khan waited for a big fight that never happened. Fighting anyone is better than doing nothing at all ! His next fight Bizier is ALSO a MANDATORY...he has no choice if he wants to keep his belt. You can't condemn him for honouring his mandatory requirements. Still likely that Khan by then hasn't stepped in the ring with ANYONE. FACT 2 : Khan hasn't really beat ANYONE of note in the WW division....he fought Alexander - who has a career at LWW. then Ageri who was also a LWW. Yes he fought an old past it Collazo...which he won. A real WW but an old past it one. Hand picked to make Khan look good. He went life n death and was hurt by pillow fisted Algeri...giving credence to what many fans think is a china chin. FACT 3 : Khan is trying to DELUDE the fans by avoiding any hard hitting WW...he's always picking carefully fighters that don't bang....protect that glass/china at all costs. Worrying that Algeri actually hurt him. FACT 4 : Khan thinks so highly of himself as former world titlist from over 4yrs ago that he only wants BIG FIGHTS...yeah right that's why he took Ageri and Collazo. Alexander was a name at LWW and Ageri was for 5mins at LWW. I actually liked Khan and do rate his skills and speed but he really is starting to GRATE on me with his GREED/Hypocrisy/lies and fear of Kell Brook. Most fighters that don't have a world title dream of getting a shot. Here is an opportunity to make more money than he can against ANYONE else and win a title to boot and somehow he doesn't want it ? Its greed. That's why he is completely obsessed by Mayweather and Pacquiao, the 2 biggest draws in Boxing. He just wants the biggest payday possible. Worst thing is, if Khan beat Brook, Thurman and the other guys he has no interest in he would be right up the top of the Welter ladder and a fight v Floyd or Pacquiao would of been a hell of a lot easier for him to get. Somebody said he is ruining or has ruined his career. He definitely is doing that. He had huge following in the UK and also was getting the crowds in in the US which was impressive considering he is a none American Muslim. His mouth and lack of activity have really messed up his career. He thinks he is seen in the same light he was 4 or 5 years ago.
To me it's clear that he thinks his only way to safe face and not having to fight Brook is to totally price himself out of the fight and acting like he thinks he deserves that. With the option that if Brook somehow says yes anyway, he earns so much at once that he still gets more money out of his career as he otherwise would. Also his denial about the Pac fight that he didn't use numerous middlemen instead of direct negotiating, is probably debunked by Hearn who's claiming exactly the same thing happening for the Brook fight. Khan is full of s__t!
I defended Khan when so many ridiculed his chasing of May/Pac, now that obstacle has been obliterated, he has no defence if he doesn't pursuit one of the top guys. Khan v brook Khan v thurman/porter winner Khan v Garcia/Guerrero winner Khan v Bradley Any of these matches have to made this year, no excuses. Brook fans can have no complaints if Khan fights any of the other choices. khan cannot not afford to damage his tarnished reputation anymore. If he wants legacy, he has to face the top guys this and next year. Khan has made so many disasterious decisions, he cannot afford anymore.
