Personally i dont like khan and all that hype that goes with him but i think he is in a no win situation with this fight. If its exciting like the limond fight and he hits the canvas again then people will be seriously doubting wether he could be a BRITISH champ never mind a 3 time world champ like he claims he will. On the other hand if he wins convincngly then everyone will say he was fighting another hand picked fighter who doesnt carry a decent punch. Only way khanj is going to prove his worth is to get it on with thaxton and see what hes really made of and IMO thaxton will KTFO OF khan and warrens money making machine goes up in smoke. THE SOONER THE BETTER!!!
Do you think its fair though? Nobody batted an eye lid when Lawton was chosen to fight Thaxton. Lawton performed well, and yet he is slated and described as unworthy for fighting an inexperienced fighter at a lower level.
Anyone know about this Cryptotherapy thing Khan's doing? Google searchs mostly bring It up as treatment for cancer patients or stuff about aging.

The main reason eyebrows were raised when Lawton was chose is because he is another powder puff puncher which suggests that even Khans team know his chin is dodgy. (not to mention its a backwards step for someone who is promising to be champ in 5 fights)
Unfortunately, when Lawton fought Thaxton he got hurt early on but he still got into the fight well and did ask some questions of Thaxton. At least Lawton is a genuine lightweight (unlike some of Khan's previous opponents). Like Khan he is quite tall and has shown he has the ability to recover well - he has also been down and got back up to win. I do expect Khan to beat him but he may have to earn a victory more than some think. I like Lawton's attitude towards the sport - he comes across as a really dedicated, professional, down to earth guy and deserves some credit.
Chavez jnr has 0 amateur fights , while Khan has that flashy silver thing he won in some summer tournament which has given him so much hype . So from that perspective it's understandable . Lawton's not a bad opponent , especially when Limond came so close to stopping Khan last time out .
This is why Khan will not be allowed anywhere near Thaxton. As soon as he gets hit clean by a decent puncher, the Amir Khan show will be derailed. This will not be allowed to happen at british title level. As for fasting during training, it sounds like a bad idea to me. Since the Limond fight, I would say he needs his 3 shredded wheat.
