This is true!!! Look when Khan went to his corner after the Garcia first knockdown, it took Roach ages to say "You alright" then nothing. He also mumbles at Ariza and Ariza shouts instructions to his fighters during rounds.

It is a shame but Roach is very hard to understand.

i don't want to badmouth Roach, but I have to agree with that, it was actually shocking what happened in that corner

I think Khan’s a good lad, however, can’t stand the idiots who are behind him. I’m certain that they’re the responsible for filling Khan’s head with deluded thoughts about his ability. Some people are going overboard with their reaction to this piece of news imo. I don’t think there’s much wrong with what he said, Roach not being a commanding presence in the corner would have definitely affected Khan. Someone as dim as Khan, needs to be constantly reminded of what’s he doing wrong and to stick to the fight plan.

and I always thought Brandon Rios and Margarito were nice fellas who wouldn't say boo to a goose..theres a shocker

seriously what do you expect from these scumbags? people saying amir khan deserves to have his jaw broken need to take a closer look at people like Rios, absolute scum of the earth, then when Richard Abril gave him a piece of his own medicine, typical bully, Rios tried to start a fight at the press conference, and gets his ass kicked by Abril

cannot WAIT for the day Brandon Rios gets beaten up and beaten up badly, and I don't wish that on anyone, but if this guy was wheeled out on a stretcher I honestly wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Khan's dad is only telling the truth.

I don't understand the hatred for him and Amir. It seems like real hatred, not sure what the problem is.

So what if he's "telling the truth?"

It's just not something you should say, it shows a lack of decency and judgment, those kind of things shouldn't put into the public domain to score points in some silly little feud.

As I understand it, he was commenting on how Virgil Hunter was proving to be a more suitable trainer for Amir Khan. I don't see the problem with that.
It's not as if he just came out and took the **** out of Roach for his illness, so what's all the fuss ?

Freddie Roach has Parkinsons and his speech is getting worse. That is bound to have an impact on how effective he is as a trainer, with certain fighters. It's sad but true.

When a fighter and his team get criticized for changing trainers so much they have a right to say, "look, this guy is better for us. the others guys weren't right because ..."

This is boxing. We can't be squeamish about these things. If my son was trying to hear instructions from Freddie Roach when things were getting serious in a fight, I'd be concerned about that too.

His words are true but his wording is very poor.

Nevertheless, on Khans recent performance it appears he absorbs very little of what he is told to do so shouting from outside the ropes makes little difference.

In all fairness it isnt a very good idea having a trainer with parkinsons disease and it has got worse but what a **** for saying that....

I actually think that Khan is OK but just very thick, surrounded by yes men telling him he is great and because of his stupidity, he believes it. This is where his arrogance comes from.

Or am I being too kind to him here?

His real problem is the idiots he is surrounded by.
