The khan thing is done to death, but still fun nonetheless. What are people's opinion of a rematch? I mean what would a win prove. Khan doesn't have the power to take Garcia out in the way he got taken out so what would a points decision or at best a late stoppage win for Khan prove? Given the way he was taken out he'd need to blast Garcia out in he first round to have any redemption. He'd be better off rebuilding and looking at a rematch further down the road IMO

Khan has one of the most basic fundamental flaws in boxing, and he's had it for years. I've actually lost respect for Freddy Roach for not correcting it. Every time he throws a left he drops his right and lifts his chin! Anyone who can same time punch will spark him out. Simple as that.

Yeah he has loads of other flaws too, but nearly every night of the week I slap kids in the face in the gym for doing this exact same thing. Everyone has this flaw when they start boxing, not when they're a world champion!!!

So yeah to answer your question, he needs to hook up with Manny Steward and come back to Garcia 3-4 fights down the line.

  7. If he is able to sort out his fundamentals he is quite capable of winning a decision, if not he gets sparked again

What makes you think it's for the sake of it? It's a genuine question. Why would Khan be so keen on a rematch straight away? I just don't see what he would gain from a win.

What would it prove that he beat a guy he was heavily tipped to win the first time?

Actually coming from someone who thought khan was good enough to fight Mayweather next - don't bother replying

Doesn't matter what was tipped to happen he got koed. It would prove a lot to win a rematch. And he is capable, or at least he has the tools, but he doesn't have the brains ti use them.

Let's get one thing straight, Khan was throwing a right uppercut when he got clocked on the back of the neck, you cant defend yourself with the same hand your punching with. Lucky punch, Khan far superior boxer than Garcia would win rematch 99/100 times.

Agree a rematch in the future would prove something, perhaps how he's improved defensively, but an immediate rematch wouldn't prove much. It's not as if it was a split decision he got sparked and a win would be a bad attempt at re- writing history as everyone knew he should have won first time round.

Khan has shown too many times a tendency for stupidity. His wish to fight instead of box plagued him against Prescott, Garcia and in sustained periods against Maidana, Peterson etc

His heart his admirable, his ring IQ still under development. A rematch at this stage is a moot point until Khan shows his desire to change and understand his strengths and weaknesses. He overates his durability and power, this must change.
