One case that was definitely arrogance was him refusing to fight on SS3 against McCloskey because he claimed he was a PPV star, he then took the fight over to Primetime.
Amir Khan's performance on Saturday , was a sad event , he showed glimpses of his former self , great combo's , jab speed, and then it all fell apart ...Very lucky to win . "Mr Khan if you are reading this sack your Team , Sajid his so called mate is just a profile hunter , Remember the Words of Tyson Sajid in Las Vegas when you ran away from the club..Tyson Quote :Earn your own Fame"... and Asif Valli Manager of a world class boxer, you need to manage your dodgy , illegal immigrant Taxi Drivers leave the boxing to the professionals ...The only sincerity in his team and actually care is his family , respect to them , but they can do no more for Amir in the ring. Amir you can still come back, HANG UP THE CELEB STATUS, go undergound , run to the hills , just sort your head out and Box....I mean whats the worst that can happen Now!!
No ball of fire as a personality, but a decent lad,I think. Two things he's said I don't agree with. The first,he keeps insisting he beat Peterson when I think he clearly didn't.The second, and backed up by the British media, that Tim Bradley was avoiding him.For me,that is one man who avoids nobody, and continually proves it.But,Amirs a pro fighter, and theres worse things to say about a rival.Same with what he said about Brook and Sheffield, bit of a wind up.I was hoping he'd say something about Garcia, get him in the ring and give him a drubbing.Couldnt see it before Saturday, definitely not now.
Bradley did avoid khan And yes the Peterson aftermath was poor sportsmanship from amir although fact is he couldn't hold him Off because of peds Amir is same as everyone else not perfect
No,the blueprint has been laid how to cause khan trouble Constant forward motion with lots of in fighting and left hooks
Your third line definitely preaching to the converted.Id never believe Bradley ducked Khan. For example,if Amir was the weight above and was doing well I don't think Bradley would avoid him if the money was right.Ive liked Amir since his Olympic days, how could anybody not?Hes fought away from home at top level for years, won most, lost a few.Been great for British boxing.Totally agree about Peterson. So we agree on 2,have to agree to disagree on the third.
But it's open knowledge that Bradley was offered fight twice and rejected it Maybe he didn't avoid him admittedly
Khan gets allot of hate for a variety of reasons; 1. His Skin Colour & Religion 2. His diehard fans are really annoying 3. Has a casual fan following 4. His promotional team are really annoying. 5. He actually get promoted, has a public profile. 6. He earned allot of money before becoming a world champion 7. The way he treats trainers.
I think he has a deluded sense of his own self worth sometimes Laz and in his fighting ability, I will concede that so do many fighters and Khan shouldn't get ridiculed for it on a special basis, which I hold my hands up I have been guilty of. My attitude has changed towards Khan a bit lately, during this build up, fight and aftermath I have been less critical of him, yes he does say stupid things and he still gripes me sometimes but I'm trying not to let that bother me and affect my judgement. I don't quite know why but I felt a bit sorry for him after watching Saturdays fight, something was missing.
