At least to me this seems like a more credible matchup than a fight with Pac or Valero now or in the near future, but to me Amir Khan is very comparable to Gamboa in many ways both young olympians, excellent reflexes, athleticism and both are rising prospects...Style wise they differ but I think they would mesh well in the ring...

    Your thoughts.....

I would take Khan barely, but it would be one entertaining fight.

I've seen a few of Khans fights and I picked him based on overall ring intelligence but I could see it going either way...definitly a great fight:yep

I can't believe the way Khan is getting under rated on these forums. The guy is a good fighter, and an excellent prospect, give him some damn credit.

THis would be a terrific fight.

Both guys are still improving though.

gamboa is real good a future champ but his skill is not and will never match a guy like cotto, mosley etc he also doesnt put full leverage in his shots its like he flurries a lot and is pretty much a head hunter he did no bodywork whatsoever a guy like mosley that had a similar style threw to the body and he is flawed dfensively

I don't understand why Khan gets under rated on here. But I'd still pick Gamboa.

not from what I've seen. I've seen him caught and stunned...I like Gamboa Mark but don't you feel his risky hands down style would get him into trouble in the future if he doesnt correct it??

Yes definetly it will get him in trouble unless he's the next coming of Pernell Whitaker! But i still wouldnt risk having my chin exposed like he does he definetly should be keeping his guard high to avoid getting KOed.

I mean I don't hate Khan but I think he truly is overhyped. I mean seriously now he hasnt faced a guy that has more then 10 damn KOs. He's facing nothing but feather fisted fighters and that's a fact. And he got dropped by a feather fist!

    i rate him
but i just dont like the way evey1 sees him as if hes a world champ
he will be in time tho i think
but i think gamboa would stop him
