Beautiful, one fight, two guys, three major belts on the line. Amir has to do less hours per day but keep on training so that he won't get overtrained and Danny has to get some very good, fast and rangy sparring partners...

Dude is a fan and likes to share his ideas even though he already admitted that he gets drunk there in Philly wher he is from, a BHop fan, I personally didn't know Danny was from Philly and I got to know that GBP is to make Khan get back his IBF and WBA titles so that this could be a unification fight at 140 pounds so it's not sure if he will go July 14th with both belts on the line. The thread title is not leading us to anything real at all for the moment.

khan has long had that style which is hard to win rounds against but i think unlike most boxers danny garcia will cause him problems.

first of all, khan's style of hit and move is very effective against both pressure fighters as he deals with them with the jab and outworks them. but boxers find it more difficult because they just don't get the chance to counter. what khan does to boxers like judah, mcklosky and malignaggi is that he will get them with a 3-4 punch combo where really they don't hurt and maybe one or two may land. but at the end of the combo he is either too far to counter or his feet end up all over the place and he holds tight and over balances on the opponent with his weight, which means the ref has to break them up.

the only real time khan has lost rounds was against peterson where he brought intelligent pressure, and no amount of steroids could teach him that so credit to lamont for that. he walked in intelligently and got khan to go straight back which allowed him to get the better of him and really bully him. now danny can't follow this game plan, he just isn't a pressure fighter.

garica is a counter puncher, and that style is great for khan as it allows him to hit and move or hit and spoil not allowing the counter puncher to do anything. the malignaggi, mcklosky and judah fights are examples of this. but one thing garcia does that not many fighters in boxing do anymore is punch at the same time, too often khan in the past throws a combo and the likes of judah just cover up and wait till khan does his thing to reply but by that time the ref is either breaking it up or he is out of there. now garcia will reply as soon as khan lets his jab go rather than cover up which will make this fight exciting and not half as one sided as people expect. as long as garcia on occasion is the first to let his punches go, and trusts himself to let his hands go when amir does then he has a great chance.

khan will do what he always does, and for garcia to win has to make sure he makes it a war and lets his hands go when khan does, if he covers up and looks to reply later he won't get a chance. i'm prediciting a sd either way or a draw.

Amir Khan wants to end the year with a sell-out clash at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium.

The former double light-welterweight champion is planning on a homecoming fight in November or December. Khan yesterday confirmed that he will fight WBC king Danny Garcia in July in what will be his last bout before moving up a division. M.E.N. Sport revealed yesterday that the 25-year-old was trying to secure a clash with Garcia after his rematch with Lamont Peterson was cancelled last month. But Khan still maintains hopes of becoming Britain’s first pound-for-pound No 1 and intends to move up to welterweight once he has proved himself the undisputed top fighter at 140lbs. He said: “I will definitely have another fight this year, in November or December. “I will move up a weight, but I’m not looking at anyone yet. “I’d like to have that fight over here. I’d like to bring a top 10 American over here for the UK fans because I’ve not fought here for a couple of fights. “I’d love to fight in Bolton again, it’s about getting the timing right and making sure it fits properly. The only place to fight now would be the football stadium.” Amir Khan out to show he is world’s best Scott Quigg’s warning to former Euro champ Rendall Munroe Khan hopes his WBA and IBF titles will also be on the line against the undefeated Garcia after Peterson tested positive for a banned substance. “It’s a great match-up with the WBC title on the line,” he said. “He has quite a similar style to Peterson. Garcia is a come-forward fighter – he has a good knockout percentage. “It is going to be me being the boxer again. I’ll have to be smart, hit, move and try and be one step ahead of him. “My little bit of experience ahead of him should work in my advantage. He’s never lost before. It’s going to be a good fight.” Garcia added: “I feel like I have what it takes to beat this guy. I’ve watched Khan a lot. He’s a good fighter, but I don’t think he’s what people say he is, getting all this credit. “I feel like he will leave himself open for some big shots and we’ll see if he can take them. I can box and I can punch. I’m going to hit him with stuff he won’t see. I can’t wait.”

People are understimating this Garcia guy. He's getting no votes lol. I really want Amir to put on a show and show us what he learnt from his last camp. Cos if he underperforms no need to support him again. He's actually going against some who is younger than him which will be interesting to watch.

If only Khan sat on his punches abit more; loads of his opponents say we saw his speed but not his power as his shot's weren't connecting flush....

Garcia by close UD or SD I smell an upset here. I feel Khan has a slight edge but don't think he'll be as motivated as Garcia for this fight.
