Khan-Garcia [AFTERMATH]

I think Peterson is a better version of garcia but i still fancy garcia to upset the applecart and score a ko over khan.

 

I'd like to hear a technical write-up from those who think Garcia has a strong chance to upset Khan. It's one thing to root for an underdog and another to actually favor one on a boxistic premise. I just can't see him having the timing to catch Khan coming in, or the dynamic pressure to attack Khan, or even the power to hurt him enough in a single shot to seriously hurt him, regardless of the chin. Seems like a good guy though, wouldn't be too upset if he earned himself such a good win.

easily over 50,000+ punches he has thrown in his lifetime
and thousands of hours spent practising the same stuff over and over again

yet poses in a southpaw stance for cameras

Yes but he would lose the use of his straight right which would suck (he would have to train his straight left but this is why you stay in your 'correct' stance as learning a weak hand jab is easier than a weak hand straight punch)

it's not worth it when his current jab is very impressive and has a decent left hook (Judah fight)


So many details which have to be explained and understood when talking about switching and use of stances ^^

Another example when talking about stances: check my avatar...you see Bruce Lee in the southpaw stance? you know why he fights southpaw? (when not moving around) --- it enables him to use his strong right leg for a straight kick a powerfull and rangy attack vital in real combat.
