Im probably more pumped about this fight than any other fight that happened this year. Danny is going to ruin Khan. Im not playing. This is GREAT timing for Garcia. Khan and Roach ****ed up taking a fight this tough while coming off such a long camp. FOTY here, Garcia wins by a devastating stoppage. :deal
You have said the same thing numerous times, through out different threads, for the past few days. I think we get the picture here, you are going for Garcia to win the fight. We get the picture bro.
Khan promises to knock out Garcia after title-rival's father makes X-rated racial jibe Danny Garcia's eccentric father stole the show as the WBC light-welterweight champion came face to face with Amir Khan ahead of Saturday's unification fight in Las Vegas. The outspoken Angel Garcia lived up to his reputation once again as he gave an impassioned, heated speech at the main pre-fight press conference. Garcia, who trains his son, has made unsavoury comments about WBA champion Khan's ****stani heritage in the past as well as more run-of-the-mill trash talk. This content is protected After making a speech in which he again touched on religion - before moving on to a bizarre rant about the strength of Latin America - he sat making gestures when it was Khan's turn to speak, holding up his son's belt, pulling faces, pretending to punch himself in the face and shouting comments. At one stage, reacting to jeers from Khan's entourage, he was heard shouting 'f****** ******s'. When Khan reacted to his previous comments about ****stan, he repeatedly said of the Briton: 'His DNA is f***** up'. Khan, speaking on the podium, said: 'Garcia's team can say whatever they want. 'I promise you - I've never said this at a press conference - I will knock Danny Garcia out and win the titles. This content is protected 'I will knock him out and if his dad wants it afterwards...That will shut his dad up anyway. I'm not going to do anything physical because his dad talks so much. 'I'm going to hurt his son. I'm going to do it in the ring. I cannot wait until after the fight, when I've knocked his son out and I'm stood here with the titles. 'Another thing, it's funny when he said he's never seen a ****stani fight. He's going to see a ****stani fight on Saturday and knock his son out. 'I can't wait to get in there. You're going to see a British ****stani fight on Saturday and you're going to see him knock your guy out.' Newly reinstated WBA champion Khan is ready to move on from what he describes as the worst six months of his career. Khan endured a 'devastating' spell as he lost his WBA and IBF titles in a surprise defeat by Lamont Peterson last December. This content is protected The fall-out from that fight was messy and controversial as Khan raised a number of grievances relating to issues inside and outside the ring. The saga reached new levels before their scheduled May rematch when American Peterson tested positive for banned synthetic testosterone, before admitting he had already used it before their first fight in December, albeit for medical reasons. While Peterson's positive test vindicated Khan and undermined the defeat, it also robbed the 25-year-old of the chance to avenge his second career loss. His bitterness has been eased, however, by the news that the WBA have stripped the title from Peterson and strapped it around his own waist once more. 'It was the hardest six months of my career,' Khan said ahead of Saturday's bout with WBC champion Garcia in Las Vegas. 'Straight after the fight I was devastated because I'd lost the fight and I was so upset. Then when I got into the camp I was so happy that I'd got the rematch, because even that was so hard to negotiate. I agreed to whatever they said.' This content is protected However, the rematch was cancelled and Khan welcomed the WBA's announcement yesterday that he will go into the fight with WBC king Garcia as a title-holder himself. The bout has been given added prestige by the presence of two recognised world titles and, importantly, the respected Ring Magazine belt which is awarded to fighters regarded as the best in their division. 'I'm glad the WBA are reinstating me as champion again,' Khan said. 'It means I walk into this fight as world champion and the WBC title is on the line but not only that, the Ring magazine title will be on the line as well. 'It means this fight will really show who is the best fighter in the 140lb division and it will show I'm the best. 'Justice has been done.'
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...n-Amir-Khan-fit-purpose-living-dry-life-.html ^^ Read this article for Ariza's unconventional methods of training. No wonder Manny never liked swimming and always complained. Now i get it. He was killing them slowly with tons of water lmao. Is this the reason Manny has leg cramps as well?
This content is protected I love the mandatory "Dont do it! Don't do it! Wait till'ya get in the ring!" Oscar has his 'hold'em'back' game down tight. He isn't even looking, he just sticks his arm out there while he laughs and jokes with someone in the background. That said though, Khan's conditioning coach looks like he's not buying Garcia. He's got his 'I'can'c'da'*****'in'ya' @ Danny.
You know what? Honestly. I used to look at pictures of Amir Khan and think in the back of my head 'This guy has a swimmers physique, instead of a boxers." I just kept thinking that for some reason. Now I know I wasn't crazy.
Saj tweets Lmao his dad also wouldn't let him drink any water, he looked dry n also didn't break a sweat during his workout, he's ****ed! RT @rubentabares: @DannySwift thought I wouldn't notice he was wearing a sweat suit @ the press conference! Good luck with that buddy!
Wow, Ruben got it in with Angel Garcia as well. http://amirkhanworld.com/blog/21-khan-updates/205-i-m-going-for-the-knockout
Hey, So I finally came face-to-face with Danny Garcia at today’s press conference. It was heated and tense, and as has been the case throughout this promotion his dad talked his usual smack. His team can trash talk as much as they want because like I said today I promise that he’s going to get knocked out. I’m going in there and am determined to put on a show and unify the light-welterweight division. There are three world titles on the line and Garcia and his camp are going to see that they got it well and truly wrong about me. I know there are only a handful of fighters who train as hard as I do, everything I’ve ever earned in this sport is due to hardwork and talent. I don’t care what comes out of his camp because at the end of the day it’s going to be just me and him in the ring. I looked him in his eyes and I can tell that there is doubt in his mind, all the talking is proof of that. I’m ready to go on Saturday night and just hope it comes around as quick as possible because I’ve never felt as good as I do now. I’ve made the weight with ease and I’ve added some real menace into my punches. Because of how this camp has gone, I’ve worked on a lot of things that I wanted to and you’ll see exactly what I mean come fight night. After the press conference I did my last training session with Freddie and now it’s just a case of looking forward to the weigh-in tomorrow. Like I said before making the weight isn’t a problem for me so I’m always energised and hydrated which is just the way you want to feel going into a fight. I’ve just had my dinner for today, all organic, and I’m going to put my feet up and chill out. My dream has always been to unify this division with the best belts and on July 14th I will be able to do just that. I know what he’s going to bring to the ring but unfortunately for him I’ve got a few surprises in stall that he won’t be able to cope with. I hope you’ve liked all the build up shows on Sky Sports, the final show Khan vs. Garcia: The Final Countdown goes out tomorrow at 6.30pm on Sky Sports 2, so make sure you tune in before the big one. Garcia has lit the fuse so I’ll produce the fireworks on Saturday night – don’t miss it! AK
