    Now he's calling out Thaxton.

"In the past Jon has always been saying that he'll be the first to beat me, but I've heard nothing since I destroyed Earl, who's a much better fighter than Thaxton," said Commonwealth champion Khan.

"Before the fight I said I'd retire Earl, and I'll do the same to Thaxton. Jon's a good fighter but he's not in my league. I'll be too quick and too strong for him, and I can't see the fight going the distance.

"In fact I think I'd get more more of a challenge from Delia Smith - at least she can break an egg!

"To borrow one of her phrases, 'Come on Jon, let's be having you!'

"Sadly I think there's more chance of Thaxton turning up on the side of a pint of milk than getting in the ring with me."

    Ha ha ha

Amir Khan is forming a healthy ego, he will destroy Thaxton.

    Olympic style destruction.

    AK will retire thaxton.

iv always thought amir was too polite to his rivals, he's gotta be showing them he's the man in britian in light weight so he can call them out

Based on fish-head Warren, I'm guessing.

Yes probably right, **** face says something and Khan parrots it. I have no problem with him being confident or saying he will beat Thaxton, that is exactly how he should be....but drop the crap about Earl being better and then trying to make out that Thaxton can't crack an egg..as if Amir has been going in with major league bangers.

Limmond is hardly known for hitting hard, so perhaps Khan should bear that in mind when talking about Thaxton.

earl was highly reagarded by most bxing organisations before the humilation,

Thaxton looked absolute **** in his last fight, and if he is planning to fight amir like and he going be put similar way earl has

Thaxton is past it for sure...and I do think Khan beats him, but he can hit a damn sight harder than anyone Khan has faced and so all that talk of eggs is plain stupid. Quite simply if Thaxton landed flush on Khan, Amir is ****ed.

In addition Earl was regarded as shot by anyone who actually knows boxing.

i suppose amir will have that knock down hanging overhim for the rest of his career but i think thaxtons so called " power" is ott,

earl had just come out from a war with katsitdas and thaxton had just done 11 rounds of struggle against a domestice fighter so u cant blame amir for rating earl in high regard

come on mate alot of people on here actually thought amir's ride was over when he thought Earl.

Amir has yet to be hit on the chin despite what people say limmond caught him on side of the head and the lad was of balance and he was bound to go down and give it to limmond it was a good shot but it was not on the chin so i dont know why people question his chin for.

i still think its pretty damn good achievement at the age of 21 to be rated the best british light weight boxer in Britian, how old were Hatton and Calzaghe when they were rated the best in britian their respective divisions ?

Thaxton will be destroyed, Khan would of got Stewart out of there In 3 rounds at most.

Khan needs a world or very good euro level fighter to test his chin.

Earl did acheive more than Thaxton and has a win over Romanov no matter who discredits that win.

Limond hit him on the temple so there was no chin testing there.

lets call it punch resistance then. He had the same spaghetti legs and was dumped on his arse, just like in that ameteur fight. He was also down against some tomato can a few fights ago, though I heard that was more a balance thing.
    Same goes for Haye, unfortunately.

I don't doubt that Khan would KO Thaxton, but he really should stop talking so much. Bring back the humility into boxing. Trash-talk didn't win many people respect.
